FS: 2 registered horses super cheap!!!! I want to sell the 2 horses together as a pair for only $800 or separately for $475 each. I just don't have enough time to work with the horses between my own job a 3 yr old kid and all of the other animals. "Rex" registered name HH Jets Bonanza Scamp is an American Quarter Pony born March 21, 2005. His bloodlines are fabulous with grand champs, sire is National Champ and goes back to legend Jetalito. Rex has a ton of potential and I would have loved to see him in some competitions. He is green broke. I've ridden him bareback a few times with no problems and have had a saddle on him. "Nikki" registered name Nicoles Just Ice is Half-Arabian born Apr 30, 2004. She is very well behaved and has been excellent on the trails. She is green broke but whenever I ride her it's 99% of the time bareback with just a halter to guide her with no problems. I also have an english saddle hardly used with saddle pad/bridle/stirrups--the whole shabang available for only $250. Let me know if you need more pics or have any more questions. PM for a phone number. Thanks Karen
True that! I actually bought Rex for that amount alone as a weanling! I don't remember how many hundreds I spent on that saddle also! I just need to sell them asap!
Karen, is the saddle an all purpose? And is it leather or synthetic? Also this is a amazing deal on 2 good horses! I'm gonna send an email to my old riding instructre, she always looking for horses. How tall is the quarter poney? I miss my horse
As for the height of the horses, Rex is around 50" (not sure what that translates into hands and I may be off by a few inches as I tried to measure in the pitch black of the night) and Nikki is around 54 inches from what I could tell. The saddle is an all purpose black leather english saddle made by JT International..it comes with everything you need to ride! I can try to post up a picture tomorrow night if you want-just let me know. It's black and is a size 15. I have the model number and can try to find you more details about it later if you need. I seriously only used it maybe 6 times, I always found it much faster to just jump on bareback and go with a lead rope looped through a halter. I bought the saddle July 26th of last year.
Hey Karen. Im very interested! Any vices taht i should know about? Have they been ridden western? Do ride in rings, on trails? Will they cross water? Have they been around cows? Whats the height on both? Do they load well?
Rex was on a trailer last year, it took a little convincing but he'll do anything for grain..Nikki had no problem loading. Rex is around 50" and Nikki is around 54" (not sure what that translates into hands). They have not been around cows but they share everything with 2 goats. They love water-they both go swimming multiple times every summer. They are ridden on trails here but I'd love to see someone do some work with Rex in a ring and get into competitions. They are 99% of the time ridden bareback with the lead rope looped through the halter although they have no problem with saddles on them also--I only have an english saddle. They are both young horses with no medical problems. Not recommended for a beginner. Nikki has been on a few 5 mile rides and multiple rides up the road-she's a bit pokey. Rex doesn't know commands yet and I don't have enough knowlege to teach him. I usually just walk him up the road and he walks/trots his way home with me on him. They both lead great and the only command Rex really knows is to slow and stop. I'll try to get more pics after work today. If you want to call for more info call after 4pm or anytime this weekend 2187573246. thanks ~Karen
O god i hate you karen lol jk... Thats all Allie needs is 2 more as if 16 wasnt enough lol. We were just talking about it a bit ago and allie wants to give you a call before we drive up there. I know she is very interested though becasuse she called me and woke me up this morning telling me about them. We will get back to you ASAP
If I had the money I would jump all over this! My Girlfriend rides english and does a lot of shows. She has gotten me into this bigtime, and I will be looking to get a horse within the next year possibly, I can pass this on to all the horse people I know!!!!
My only concern is I would like to eventually like to use them for riding lessons. How much weight can they hold?
a hand is 4 inches. so one is 13.5 hands and the other is 12.5. my 1/4 horse was about 16.5 hands. this is a pretty good deal. they dont sound like headcases.
got an email back from my bro- inlaw " I've got too many already. Its a tough market for selling right now but if they really need to sell them there is a big sale at a place called Simon Horse Sales in Cannon Falls. They have two big auctions in the fall, one in about 2 weeks and another in October. The September sale is the better one to go to because it attracts more people but there will literally be buyers there from all over the country and Mexico. Our neighbors sold their horse there and it went to CT. Between my Mom and Dad, my Sister and I we've also bought several horses there over the years. The horse we made the video for we bought at Simons. You may want to pass that along to these guys. If they are experience horse people they probably already know this but you never know. "
here's a few pics taken today. They can both definately handle your average human riding on them. I'll try to have Rich take a pic tomorrow of me on them so you can see the proportion of human to horse.
Here's some pics of me on each of the horses. I am 5'7" so you can see they can both handle an average weight human no problem. Rex is an American Quarter Pony--but this kind of pony is obviously not tiny.
Prices up-dated!!! $800 for the pair or $475 each--which is 1/3 of the price I paid for gelding alone! Both are greenbroke. More info is in the 1st post of this topic. Thanks ~Karen
