I would like one if it will work in my computer. Sorry idk much about computers, but I have a Dell Dimension 4550 desktop that only has a 40gb hd and its full so I could use a bigger one. Do you know if it will work?
I'm pretty sure the dimension 4550 does not have any sata ports. You could get a sata controller though.
Ah yes, I should've just googled this in the first place but it appears my computer has 2 bays for IDE hard drives so it won't work. I might as well just buy a whole new computer, this thing is old haha.
I only had them for a year and they were in my server, so figure less than 2 hours a day (server was only on when home computers were on). I have just started down the epic road of ripping all my cd's and dvd's to a digital format and with duplication turned on, 1.5tb doesn't get me real far. Russ
