Looking to possibly sell my car. Will be buying a truck if it sells, or if someone offers a trade. Looking to get a quad cab dodge ram, newer body style (02+). Car is sitting on 18" wheels, with newer tires. Motor is all stock, on a stock tune. Silicone turbo inlet from Godspeed. Interior is in great shape. Only 92k on the car, as it was in a accident where it slid off the road into a tree. Front end damage, it bent the bumper frame into the radiator, causing it to leak, so replaced with a 2 core fully welded aluminum. To look like new, would need a hood, fendors, bumper cover and front end trim. I drive it the way it is though, doesnt look horrible. Only negative things I can think about it, is every few hundred miles, will throw a misfire code, not sure why. As I see high mileage (200k) WRX's going for 5k, I would like to get 6500$ out of this car. Will post pics asap.
Also forgot to mention, has a Borla SPT exhaust which sounds great. Will also come with a 12" kicker L7 enclosed in a factory Kicker slot ported box (huge). New on the site, the combo is over 600$. This is only if the car sells soon.
Well that was a quick adventure in to the subaru world. What is the condition of the title after the accident?
Says previously salvaged. Just been needing a truck a lot lately. Eventually someday I really want to get a STI, so until then, a truck will have to do. Love the car but priorities I suppose.
I'm so temped to just keep the car, so if anyone is interested and has the cash, ill go out and take some detailed pics. Really do love the car.
This is the right answer! TBH, it will be hard to get what you want for a car with a previous salvage. Sooo, I support you keeping it and making it your own!
at $6500 this car should move fast, salvage title or not. did you post it on craigslist? that's where you will move this quick
Just keep it, i have asilverado and my boosted subi, I use the truck once or twice a month, the subi makes me smile daily
02, prior salvage, not fixed 100%, misfire code could be lower compression or anything else, exhaust with no tune, original 02 trans, even with low miles price is high for prior salvage.
If you think my price is high, then you have about 30 or 40 old thread to flame about over their prices also. Best part though, even as it sits, still looks better then a hawkeye.
Car has a fresh oil change, and fluids checked, everything looked great. Hasnt burned or leaked anything during the last 4k miles before the oil change. Also new flex pipe welded in. Make me an offer. Heres fresh pics.
Tinted lenses, got them that way. Made the stock bulbs seem dim so put in the brightest sylvania silver stars I could get.
Car has potential, looks clean from the pictures. I would have to agree that your price is a little high, but you never know. FYI you are missing your sideskirts too.
Odd they tinted the headlights but not the windows looks a little goofy but overall clean looking car imo you should be able to get close to what your asking but close would be with in $1000 difference of what your asking
I think I saw you driving back across the bridge on Thursday.. I was headed to Superior and you were heading to Duluth?
I must've got an insanely good deal on my WRX, I paid $5600 for mine with 138k miles and 2 sets of rims both with good tires (winter set with hankook I pikes summers were these lame hot wheels brand rims...yes laugh now...but good continental tires) as well as a grimmspeed up pipe and under drive pulley. Had a prior salvage (Deer collision) but all of it was purely cosmetic and the frame was straight. From the other WRXs I've seen I would say that 6500 is a fair price as I'm assuming he left a $500ish dollar haggle space. Good luck with the sale, car looks great even with minor issues.
Not that it's my place to say this either, but a reminder that everyone has a right to place the value they feel is correct on their "for sale" item...whether it's right or not is up to the purchaser. And if you are a thread bomber, just wait until you try to sell your car or item...Karma ain't as nice as her name sounds I will agree with the other posters, there are some items detracting value this vehicle; it may be in your best interests to ascertain what the misfire code is from, that can provide a lot pf useful info! Also, can you clarify if there is a salvage title or not involved? If the car is just banged up with a clean title that's a whole other story here folks.
See post #4. I have to admit, I'm still stunned that anyone could think that tinting the headlights is a good idea.
Whoops!! Missed that, thanks. Yep, prior salvage is a real hum-dinger, hard to get a loan, hard to deal with insurance if anything else happens (depending on company); bummer. Still, a CEL code would be helpful.
