Up for sale is a MBP 2002 WRX; It is in good running condition. It had it's timing belt replaced recently, I have the receipt. Oil has been changed every 3k miles religiously(just ask LegacyPGT). Plugs, tranny, diff and all common maintenance has been performed(again, ask LegacyPGT). The only major problem I had was with a burnt exhaust valve on cylinder 1. Which as you know is common for these cars. Mike has replaced all exhaust valves on that head plus the gaskets, etc. It throws a misfire CEL every once in a while. But it has done this since I bought it 2 years ago. So it's not something that recently popped up and nothing I believe to be a problem. The turbo was replaced about 10k miles ago with a TD04 with I believe has 65k on it. No problems with it, thanks Iroc-Z The list of mods(all included); Engine; Cobb Stage 2 Exhaust; Grimmspeed cross pipe DC Sports Up Pipe God Speed Down Pipe Bosal Cat back exhaust Suspension; Prodrive Springs Perrin F/R adjustable Sway Bars Perrin heavy duty mounts Kartboy End Links(rear) Whiteline Subframe locking bolts Whiteline Steering rack bushings Rota Subzero 17x7.5 Hankook z212s w/50% tread Brakes; Powerslot frozen rotors(front) Hawk HPS pads(front) Goodridge Stainless Lines w/carbon sleeves Motul RBF400 fluid change Misc; Kartboy Short Shifter Kartboy front and rear shifter bushings TIC shift bushing(that fits in the KB SS) STI titanium shift knob Hella FF1000 driving lamps in fog locations Pink "i" badge Debadged "subaru" trunk Tinted Windows by Tintmasters It has 150k on it and I'm asking $7,000. I still owe $7500 on the loan but have the funds to cover the difference. It has been stage 2 for 20-25k miles and stage 1 for 10k before that. I take care of the car, I make the payments, not mom or dad. No hard launches, hasn't seen the track although it has seen 1 Ice Race. I have pretty much babied the car since I have owned it. I obviously drive spirited, but mainly just drive fast in the twisties and on ramps. Not a stop light racer. I never wanted to spend a few thousand to replace the tranny so I never "abused" it. It does have a cracked windshield, but it has been since i bought it:laugh: Also has paint chips on the front tip of the hood. It is a highway queen and the semi's are murder on thin Subaru paint in the winter. Basically this will be a GREAT car for someone who is planning on doing a EJ257/EJ207 swap in the next 50k miles. It's a GREAT base car for someone looking to do a project. It will entertain anyone until they decide to do a swap. But I wouldn't recommend buying if you're not planning on replacing the motor eventually. Unless if it's just going to be a winter car for you, then it will be a blast! Edit: Characteristics of the car. The car eats exactly 1 qt of oil every 3k miles. has done so since I bought it and hasn't gotten any better or worse. The sweet spot for gas mileage seems to be in the 3-3.5k rpm range. I average 25mpg regardless of city/highway when keeping it in that range. It is not going to down shift into 1st gear without being below 10mph. Which is par for the course with the Subaru transmissions. Again $7,000 obo. I just need something low key again. I think I mentioned everything, but I might have forgot something. Any questions feel free to ask. <-- is a vagina he knows. :biggrin: Random shots;
Where were you 4 months ago when I bought the Legacy? This is a killer price. Anyone who has the money and doesn't jump at this... wow. Good luck on the sale. I imagine it will go pretty quickly.
I hope so! I'm trying to do the best I can with the price. At this point if I trade it in I'd be out $4k. I don't want to be that upside down on my next loan. So i'm hoping I can sell it at a $~1k loss plus whatever in mods But I can't really afford to pay much more of my loan off to make the sale go through.
6500 to get into a WRX is a steal. Also that turbo did only have 65K on it. And it was only stage two for about 8K.
Thanks for all the compliments guys. Spread the word, tell your friends and your mom even. Lets get this thing SOLD!!
:emo::emo::emo::emo: Fun car! Thanks for the ride at the Ice Races Matt. Sad to see her go. Great car, great deal. Oh, and great guy! Buy his car!
Emailed my sister. I'll have her pass it around her office. She works at Midwave and there are quite a few people there who could afford this as a project car.
Ask friends. But please, serious inquiries only! No joy rides. Thanks for all the compliments everyone
dang man, if i didnt start this stupid engine build and swap in the wagon i would have dumped both cars in a heart beat for this!
Well, due to demand... and Ray There is a price change. I am asking for just a bit more, $7000. Except for the only person who has setup a meeting on Saturday. For you, I will keep the original price. I'm sure some will say "that *******!" But it is still a good deal and I guess I didn't know there would be this much demand for a high mileage WRX:eek3: So be sure to send hate pm's to Ray He's adamant I could get my loan cost if I throw it on Craigslist. It's had me pissed off ever since talking to him! But I'll still leave it here for a few more days before throwing it out on CR. Again, sorry. I should have asked before pricing. I'm an idiot, I know My cell is 320-248-8202 for those who are still interested. Matt /ducks
look'in for Matts best interest... As stated you should be able to get what u owe...U don't want to have any negative equity out of it...towards your next car... As I mentioned to Matt on the phone it should sell for $7500 with a turbo @ 60k and I'm sure everyone here would agree... I didn't mean to butt in the sale...but looks like Matt is already pointing fingers at me...<=======sorry (Again for MAtts best interest) I'm not GETTING paid for THIS>>>LOL Memo: MAtt there isn't a demand for High Mileage WRX's, u just started to low Anything below 9k for a WRX in good condition and clean title is a good buy...
You're right. If I can sell it for more. Might as well try:dunno: Doesn't hurt to try. If nothing else happens. Then I'll bend over and take it for a loss.
Dude, I think YOU need a new project car! You know you want to get rid of that slow Stizzle and get into a REAL car:biggrin: Anyways, there are some other items I can add into the price of the car. Since my new car's stereo is integrated into god damn everything. I will be leaving my Alpine 9815 deck included in the WRX. I think I paid $450 for that deck 3 years ago. Should have 2 years warranty left on it through Ultimate Electronics. Also a set of Whiteline sub-frame bushings I never got around to installing. I found them in my garage. Forgot about them! The Alpine is setup and ready to go with an Aux input for and iPod or whatever you have. Also comes with it's own remote. The bushings... Will also be doing the Uncle Scotty's cocktail, just need to pick up some redline. I will also do an oil change and some basic maintenance. So everything should be set for a good while, or atleast 3k miles until the next oil change. Ps. Ray, I was never pointing fingers at you foo'!! I was just saying... After you told me I could get my loan amount I was kicking myself! $1000 could be a new set of wheels for the new ride!! I blame nobody but myself for anything. Just having some fun But, if someone in the club will pick it up and take care of it the way I did and hopefully do the **** I couldn't afford to do(20g/28r and a EJ257 swap). I will take in the ass for $500 of the loan amount and I don't know how many other hundreds of dollars I already sunk into her.
Thanks Bill. I'd tell you... But then I'd have to kill you!:biggrin: That means shush Ray and Mikeittyfool: I'll bring it to firestone for some show and tell. It's nothing special though. Nothing like an STI or Evo. But should be nice for me.
Heh, you wish I'm moving to Plymouth or Uptown. Probably Plymouth. I can see myself spending allot of money at all the easily accessible bars around the Uptown area trying to run down some poon.
