    me wants a bike, but it would be my first so I would not be getting a 1kcc bike. looking at a 600 if I can convince beth it is a good idea.

    Yeah, I wouldn't recommend an 1000cc bike for beginners.

    I wouldn't recommend a 600 for beginners. Buy a Ninja 250.

    ninja five hundo, or that POS suzuki GS500, but IMO if you are looking for a GS500 might as well look at the ninja 250 too because its only marginally more powerfull

    If you have self control, then you "could" start on a Liter bike. They don't weigh that much more than a 600, and the frame sizes are pretty much identical. It's the power that gets to people, especially those who have no clue what to do in an emergency situation.

    Good luck with the sale though, very nice bike!
