    -----

I bought this in March of 2010 with 162k, and after 150,000 miles it's time to sell to help fund our house. I used to work as a traveling wind turbine technician so this car has taken me all over the eastern and southern US and has never let me down.

I'm extremely well versed in these cars and the 2.5 H4 engine -- my wife has a 01 Outback, my sister has a 01 Legacy, and I rallycross in a 03 Impreza.

2003 Subaru Outback, 2.5 H4 with 5 speed manual transmission.
Base model with All-Weather Package: Heated cloth seats, heated side mirrors, heated windshield wipers, and limited slip rear differential.

Car has 308,000 miles but I installed a rebuilt engine from Subie Specialists Inc (http://ssisubiespecialists.com/) at 225,000 miles -- engine currently has 83,000 miles -- most of these miles were highway due to traveling job. No leaks, anywhere.

I've only used Subaru oil filters for the life of this engine.
New turbo head gaskets were installed during the rebuild, and these head gaskets do not leak.
New complete timing belt kit (tensioner, idlers, water pump, and belt) installed with new engine @ 225k.
New clutch kit was installed with the new engine @ 225k.
New motor mounts installed @ 225k.
New power steering pump installed @ 225k.
    New PCV valve @ 225k.
    New radiator installed @ 240k.
New ball joints installed @ 275k.
    Performed valve adjustment @ 275k.
    New shifter bushings @ 285k.
    Replaced transmission fluid @ 285k.
Replaced rear end fluid @ 285k.
    Replaced R/R wheel bearing @ 285k.
    Replaced blower motor @ 290k.
Installed cabin air filter @ 290k.
Front oxygen sensor replaced @ 290k.
New front lower control arm bushings @ 290k.
    Alignment performed @ 305k.
BRAND NEW TIRES - General Grabber HTS tires installed @ 306k from Discount Tire. Comes with lifetime balance and rotate, as well as warranty certificates that can be transferred at no cost to the new owner.
New transmission mount installed @ 307k.
Spark plugs and wires replaced @ 307k.

Comes with a fresh oil change with Subaru oil filter, and full tank of gas.

CEL is on for P0420 code -- very common code in Subarus. Has had this code since I bought the car and haven't had a single problem.

Interior has been well taken care of and is in mint condition. Comes with a full set of Subaru winter floor mats, as well as the factory cargo cover and working rear cupholder (I only mention this because EVERY Outback has a broken rear cupholder. Mine is one of three I've ever seen that isn't broken).
Pioneer deck with Infinity Kappa speakers in all four doors, heated cloth seats, heated side mirrors, heated windshield wipers, and a limited slip rear differential.

I'm sure I'm missing some of the maintenance done, but there's a lot. I've taken extremely good care of this car and it shows. The exterior has the typical rust over the rear wheels, as every Subaru of this era does. Front left fender has a crease, and the front driver's door has some clearcoat peeling.

I have the title, and it's clear and ready to sign over to the new owner. Brand new tabs good through April 2017.

Sounds good; there's a couple things I forgot to mention in the original ad -- new battery was just installed a couple months ago, along with a new air filter. It's not pictured, but there's rust on the rear driver's door dog leg. Can grab a pic if you'd like.

I dropped it to $2500 on CL and I'd be happy to work with him on the price.
