Hey all, decided to sell the transmission out of my 2004 Forester XT. Was going into a bugeye, but I have since ceased that project. Stats: http://www.cars101.com/subaru/forest...ester2005.html 1st 3.454 2nd 1.947 3rd 1.366 4th 0.972 5th 0.738 Reverse 2.272 Final 4.444 120,000 miles, excellent condition, no grinds, whines, or other issues to speak of. Includes rear differential, WRX driveshaft for swapping into any GD WRX chassis, machined flywheel, used clutch (if so desired), and I believe I have all 4 axles Great swap for any WRX, Forester, or other NA manual subie. XT transmissions have nice gearing and help put torque to the ground. $1,200.00, no trades needed at present. I'm a reasonable guy, but these are fairly rare and mine has an excellent history. Open to all questions, let me know how I can help. I can help install for a small fee. Yusef @ 612-275-7398.
Unfortunately, this is still fir sale due to payment timing....purchasers project will be really cool, but I need stuff out of my garage!! This bad boy is back up/still for sale!! Maje some offers, spring cleaning is upon us!

Hi, I'm interested for my 2005 wrx. Would this tranny just swap into my car or would I have to use your driveshaft and rear diff to make it fit?
All you would need for your car is the trans and the rear diff. Everything will bolt up and plug right in.
Could you explain why I would have to switch the diff? I would rather not have to do that if possible... Also, what would you charge to install all this? Is it something you could do in my garage? I have air tools ect. But no lift. Otherwise, if I come to you where are you located?
Because the final drive is 4.11 on the transmission (using 1:1) and 4.11 on the rear diff. Your stock one is a 3.9 (using a 1.1:1 transfer gear) on the trans with a 3.54 in the rear diff.
do tell has this made a huge difference in the driving experience? I want to do this same swap. Ride Along wanted.
I have since sold that car. I wouldn't say it made a huge difference, but the tranny is WAY stronger and the short gear racial made for better acceleration.
I seen that it was an old post but figured I'd ask anyway. So worth the money to swap or stay with the stock 02 wrx tranny?
I believe the 02 wrx has the shortest gears of all the wrx's so i would run it till it breaks. I was at 365hp so was on my third tranny till the fxt and then it held up and is still going strong.
