It’s time to make room for the new car… I am selling my ’04 STi. Sad to see it go, but time to move on to other adventures. I still have the RS and plan to keep it into the future; so I am definitely not leaving the family. I am the original owner, bought in May ’03, and the car currently has 108xxx miles. The car is in great shape and rust free; I have done all maintenance on it except a few things that needed special tools. I have a close buddy that is an ASE Certified Mechanic that did the work I could not (AC recharge, tire swaps, alignments). The only warranty work was for a loose wire harness in the headliner and the rear struts. After swapping the struts 3 times, I switched them out to Tokico D-Specs, so that headache is gone. Internally, the engine is stock. A turbo oil line filter clogged in April ’11 and took out the turbo. I replaced it with an upgraded FP 68HTA along with the supporting changes (fuel pump, injectors, tune). I also installed an AP unequal length header/up-pipe setup at the same time. The car pulls like mad with the new setup, tuned more for daily driver activities than peak power. The tune was done by Nuke, so you have someone local and reliable that can take it further, or just clean things up, if needed. The car has never been dyno’d, but makes a ton of torque. It is HP limited by the exhaust (TurboXS Stealthback w/ stock axleback), so more HP should be easy to free if one wanted it. The car has never seen a track (of any kind) as I have a car for that already. Over the years, I have added various components that are all listed below, let me know on any questions on them. As noted, the condition of the car is great, but it is 10 years old. The primary issues on the exterior are the door dings. The car has been waxed on a regular basis and polished yearly (I know what I am doing ) , and it definitely shows. The wheels have some wear and tear, but have never been on the car in the winter so they look better than the 10 years would suggest. Interior is in fabulous condition. No stains, blemishes, or tears in the seats or carpet, along with new-ish floor mats. The interior plastic has very few blemishes. I have Defi Boost and EGT gauges added to the instrument hood along with the DefiController mounted in the glove box. I have added a Sony DSXS3000BTX Media Player (no CD) and a small system to support it. It currently has Infiniti Kappa speakers in the front doors, and a Kicker KX700.5 amp pushing a single RE8 sub mounted under the rear deck in a sealed enclosure (this is a custom install and it has the sub firing directly into the car). Engine oil is new (5k changes for the life of the car), gear oil is new, recently recharged the A/C (no issues found), timing belt/water pump were replaced last summer @ 99k, tires are worn but not to the wear bars. I also have a Yakima rack system with a PowderHound snowboard rack and HighRoller bike rack. The snowboard and bike mounts are new (PH was used 3x this past winter, HR is new this spring). The clamps/bars are well used, but no issues with them. In addition, I have a different set of wheels that may be negotiated with the deal (to replace the BBS); Enkei RC-T4 17x8 Gold with new Federal 595RS-R 235/40-17 tires. While these are not part of the price I am asking, there is room for negotiation. Doh, forgot to add that the winter setup goes with the car... Hankook Winter Force (225/45-17) on Rota Tarmac II (17x8) wheels. They have about 5k miles on them. Give me an offer.
