$18,000... 2005 WRX STi-Silver Approx: 84,000 Miles (I am second owner. I have put about 6,000 miles on it or so). I met previous owner, he was a middle aged business man, and he drove from the cities to Cannon Falls every day for work, not to mention the other driving he did. Mostly highway miles. So, probably 150 miles of driving a day... It came with an SPT Exhaust system and SPT Intake when I got it. Other than that, no mods, tunes, or any racing or launching. I put some Yokohama YK 520 tires on it, which have less than 5k miles on them. Warranty to 60k miles... -New radiator after purchase (OEM), new clamps and hose---they were leaking. -Oil changed twice---I just switched it back to synthetic, which is what original owner used. Dealer had put in regular. -New battery -New exhaust hangers, as apparently it was not set right. -New rear struts -Windshield was replaced, but it has now 2 small chips in it. No accidents, carfax is clean. No smokers in it. Interior is in great shape and it still has a fair amount of that new car smell. I own it through CHASE auto finance, so there is a lien on it. I owe like $18,700 on it or something. Private party Blue book sale values are between 16.5k to around 19k with the mileage last I checked--retail is around 20k to 21k. I got an extended warranty on it to 101,000, and I am not sure if it is transferable or not. I may have to check that out. It covers the turbo too. I would say that it would be nice to own an STi with higher miles that hasn't been abused and modded out, versus one with lesser miles that has been just beaten up. My asking price would be right around what I owe on it... I would be taking a loss, and not making any off of it. Please reply or PM if you have any positive interest...I can also email more pictures. (Not sure if I attached the 3 correctly to this---I am a noob).
If the warranty is from Subaru, yes it is transferable, I just forgot the fee they charge to transfer it. Talk to a local subaru dealer (Finance dept)...I think it's $250 not sure...
I got it from Subaru at the time of purchase...but I believe the warranty is through "advantage" or something? My first time buying from a dealer, so I am not sure about all of that.
I'm hoping to not have to sell...since it is pretty much one of my "practical" dream cars so to speak. We will see! Anyways, best place to see if there is interest is right here, so ask questions or whatever if ya have em'. Thanks for the comments and bumps. I should know more about the job situation early next week after the holiday weekend.
Sucks, hopefully things work out soon, maybe you can keep the car. http://www.mnsubaru.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24990
Yeah, no kidding...thanks man. I'm gonna do my best. I saw that thread..thanks for passing it on tho.
odd...my post just vanished. well, yeah..when I bought it, the ad said silver, but no company really uses plain names for their colors anymore. it could be CGM. somewhat the same in my mind anyways.
'05 had Platinum Silver Metallic and Crystal Grey, PSM is just a shade lighter. fwiw. good luck with the sale...
shame-filled bump...still no luck on the job hunt, time may be running out for me. PM with potential interest.
I just bought my '05 PS STi and am loving every bit of the year and color. Someone will be lucky to get this one. BTW - Mine too came with the extended Subaru Warranty. It's actually like $25.00 for the first transfer and then $35.00 for the second etc. Worth every penny IMO. This would be an awesome candidate to drive the hell out of it and when she goes at 200k get a built motor! Free bump!
Thanks, yeah it is a great car. Mine didn't come with the warranty though, I actually bought an extra one from "Advantage" for the car---but did it through the dealership I got it from (Luther).
Car is officially for sale. Mods, can you change from GI: to FS: please? Price is now $18,400. Roughly 83,400 miles. Mostly Highway miles. Looking to sell before my next payment is due on the 16th.
Just paid 65 bucks for a fresh synthetic oil change etc. and also got a new radiator hose, as the other one needed to be replaced. This thing is ready to go. Another new windshield too, as a rock hit the other.
yeah... I hate to say it, but it literally brought a tear to my eye the other day when I realized it was gonna happen, cuz I REALLLLLY don't want to sell it, as it is basically my dream car. it's all about choices, and my timing has been a bit off. full-time school, full-time work and an STi don't mix so well--at least on the budget front. Thanks man. Live and learn...
OMFG - such a beautiful car. I'm so sorry you have to sell it .... and sooo sorry I can't buy it. Silver '05 STi is my favorite.
^ Thanks man... it is a true shame. It is probably my favorite body style so far, and the right interior. Although if an 06/07 is modified and in the right color, I dig em... 08's are growing on me too.
I sent you a message ^. For anyone else with interest, please PM me. I often log on to MNSubaru just to see if I have any new messages in my inbox. Since this post usually trails towards the end after a couple of days, I don't always check it, so that is why there is a delay in response.
Well, i'm selling it cuz I got let off from my job (hiring freeze and budget cuts)---but one day maybe. For now...I might be rocking some VTEC with an 01 Acura CL. Don't laugh... It does get up and move, but its still not a Subaru. 260hp for the type s.
I sold an 05 sti in Dec of 06 and lasted until Sept of 07(9months)til I bought another sti. they get in the blood
:eek3: Sounds like it. Well, hopefully I can pull it off again and get something else next time. Maybe I'll opt for a Spec B Legacy GT or something... or a new STi.
