    2005 Subaru WRX STI
    VIN: JF1GD70625L519904
    Clean Title—I can email an older CARFAX if interested.
    Vehicle color is Silver w/ two sets of Silver BBS wheels
    One Set of four Silver BBS wheels with Summer Admiral SP712 Tires—80%-90% remaining tread
    One Set of four Silver BBS wheels with Winter Hankook Winter I-Pike Tires—40%-50% remaining tread
    103k miles---Daily driver
    Located in Savage, MN --- 15 minutes south of Minneapolis

    Car was used as a daily driver to and from work about 30 minutes there and back. Oil changed every 3000 miles with Purolator premium oil filter, Mobil1 5w20 Fully Synthetic oil and tried Castrol EGDE 5w30 Fully Synthetic oil several times. I have most of the receipts. Transmission currently has Scotty’s Cocktail.

    THE BADS
    Someone threw a rock at me while I was driving and hit the front passenger window and the side of the vehicle. (See Photos)
    Several horrible paint rubs on the spoiler from rear bike rack attempt. (See Photos)
    Rear bumper has two small melted spots because of the bike rack attempt. Covered with sticker. (See Photos)
    The transmission grinds going in to 4th gear during hard acceleration. I was told it was a Syncro problem
    The front bumpers clear coat is chipping off.

    WARRANTY
    The vehicle also comes with a transferrable Powertrain Plus Warranty good until 12/29/2012 or 123k miles, whichever comes first, through Advantage.

    if it comes with a warranty why dont you get the tranny fixed before selling it?

    I tried. The dealer said the warranty wouldn't cover the syncro if that what it was then I'd be stuck with the charge of pulling the tranny apart to find the cause.

    That kind of sucks then. Defeats the purpose of the warranty. Btw, nice sti.

    recommend you push back on the dealer, threaten to talk to SOA
    why is the dealership telling you the synchro isn't covered?...

    I'm tempted to buy it and rip into the dealer myself. I would grab all accounts and stories on the interweb where the Synchro was replaced by other dealers.

    Nice '05, my old '02 wrx had a grind in fourth gear if I shifted fast at higher rpms, I was just a little more careful with fourth gear once I noticed it and I put another 30,000 miles on it with no change/worsening of the grind...I can't speak for other people, but that's just my two cents, GOOD luck with the sale!

    Update. Sold the vehicle to a Canadian although I am missing it due to the snow :(
