Asking $22,000 as is -- SEE Notes below about some damage on the drivers side

    Black exterior/interior
    265hp 244tq (2008 only has 224/226)
    Premium pkg:
    moon roof
    heated wipers
    heated seats
    heated mirrors
    SPT Package:
    SPT stainless catback exhaust
    SPT boost gauge
    SPT Short throw
    SPT decals
    Other added options:
Titanium & leather STi shift knob
    winter mats in fair condition
    rear cargo mat
    rear cupholder
    autodim rearview mirror/w compass
Winter steel wheels with Hankook iPike tires & TPMS sensors - two winters on them, maybe 12k miles
Current tires are Hankook Ventus V12 on factory wheels installed last summer - maybe 5k miles
I will throw in the factory tires too with 7 or 8/32" tread on them, but one of them has a big hole in it, a 1/2" bolt or so, shop would not repair it.

I bought this car brand new July 2009 so there are a few months/few thousand miles left on the bumper to bumper warranty, and 2+ years on the powertrain warranty.

Interior is clean, non smoker, no pets.

NO mods of any kind except the Subaru installed SPT stuff.

I have always put only BP93 or Shell 91 in the car, there may have been 2 gallons of SA gas that the dealer put in there, which was quickly diluted with a full tank of BP!

I did a meticulous engine break-in per the advice from a friend in Japan, and used plenty of engine braking/vacuum and varied RPM:

0-500 miles <3500 rpm (no boost)
Switch out the factory oil for Rotella 10W-40 & filter
    500-1000 <4000rpm (a little boost)
    Rotella 10W-40 & Filter
1000-1500 <4500rpm (progressively more boost onward)
    1500-2000 <5000rpm
    2000-2500 <5500rpm
    2500-3000 <6000rpm
    Amsoil Synth 5w30 & filter

The oil changes from then on were done at WB Subaru, a few times I brought Amsoil but others were Subaru Synthetic.

I have a cheap Honda now and want to be out of car payments for a while.

I had posted this car for sale a few weeks ago but hadn't decided on a price so the ad was pulled.

Since then, something unfortunate happened! I was at a friends house and his wife backed down the drivers side of my car while it was parked in their driveway.

I have a had 2 estimates saying "about 2 grand" to fix the damage.

There are NO issues with the functioning of the doors of any sort.

The damage is more of a scrape than anything. Most deep is where the two doors meet and the front edge of the rear quarter.

I am asking $22,000 for the car as-is.

For $24,000 I will have it fixed.

I figure offering for sale as-is gives someone the opportunity to do the bodywork themselves, get into a lower payment, or maybe just not even care about the scrape.

I think the pics are pretty accurate, let me know if you have any questions.

I had a friend look into the value of the car and he tried Mannheim and found no records to compare.

    KBB says for Private Party:

    $25,098 Excellent
    $24,498 Very Good
    $23,798 Good
    $21,798 Fair

I searched for some comparable cars for sale and anything cheaper than mine was higher miles, not a 5dr, or not a Premium.

    Thanks!

Should the person who ran into it pay with their insurance?

Right - they had State Farm insurance and I went to the Brooklyn Park claims center, they cut me a check for about 2 grand. I went to a body shop and they verified they could complete the work for that amount.

I'm hoping that the lower price option will make the car accessible to more buyers.

I strongly suggest to invest and get it fixed. Its a big turn off for anyone to purchase I'd say.
