The time has come for me to put my Legacy up for sale. I’m not in a big hurry to sell it, but I have been looking for something with a bit more cargo room. I would consider selling it straight out before I trade it in.

    2012 Subaru Legacy 3.6R Limited
    * If you’ve never driven a 3.6R or any Subaru with an H6, they have instant low-end torque. Actually pretty fun to drive and an additional bonus, you can actually get an easy, accurate reading on the dipstick, unlike 4 cylinder Subaru’s!)
    Miles: 40,642 (will slowly increase)
Accident free, clean title. Car has a lien.
    Crystal Black Silica
    Leather interior
Cold Weather package: Heated seats, windshield wipers, and side mirrors
    Climate control
Harmon Kardon stereo (Honestly, this is the first stereo in a Subaru that I’ve heard that actually sounds good!)
    HD Radio and Satellite radio
    Fog lights

    Additional options:
Homelink mirror (garage door opener, compass)
    Sunroof
Astro Start 2-way remote start (confirms received signal and successful start). Installed by previous owner, haven't had a single issue...works great.
Front and rear windows were tinted by previous owner. I'm not sure of the percentage, but the fronts are a little lighter than the rears.

Wheels/Tires: OEM wheels with Continental Extreme Winter Contact tires, 9/32nd’s remaining all around, even wear.

Warranty: Remainder of factory powertrain warranty, 5 years/60,000 miles

    Totally stock, never modified

The car is in great condition, and has not had any problems. I’ve kept up on the maintenance, and here is a log of what I’ve done:

20,318 Rotella T6 and purolator one oil filter
23,995 Rotella T6, purolator one, cleaned maf
    24,289 OEM air intake filter
27,029 Rotella t6 and wix 51334 oil filter, cleaned maf
30,886 Rotella t6 and wix filter
31,969 Bled brakes with valvoline dot 3/4.
35,807 Rotella t6,wix filter, cleaned maf. Transmission, front and rear differential fluids with Subaru fluids. (30k Maintenance items)
40,144 1/31/16 Rotella t6, wix filter, cleaned maf

Cosmetically the exterior is in great condition. There are only 2 “trouble” spots: some a**hole gave me a door ding on the driver side rear door. One other minor surface scratch on the rear bumper (not through the paint). Otherwise the exterior is flawless last I checked. The interior is also in great condition with no rips/tears/smells/etc.

    Asking price: $20,499 OBO

Extras not included in the sale, but can be had for the right price:
Summer wheels/tires: 18x8 Sparco Asseto Garras with Yokohoma Advan Sport All Season tires. 9/32nd’s remaining all around, even wear
OEM Subaru roof cross bars/rails and OEM mounts for both bike racks and ski racks.
*Note: There is 3M clear film on the car where the bars mount to the car to protect the paint. This can be removed if the new owner would like it removed.

Please contact me if you’re interested!

Here is an older pic with the summer wheels and rack installed. Again, the summer wheels/rack are not included, but can be had for the right price!

Does this generation use the 5EAT rather than the CVT that the current gen does? I never paid much attention to gen 5.

Yep, 5EAT automatic transmission with paddle shifters and manual mode, forgot to list that. Surprisingly, it does rev-match the downshifts when using the paddles.

Super nice looking car! I wish I was in the market for a 2nd vehicle. What kind of milage do you get with the 3.6r?

Thanks! For MPG's, I'm all over the board. With summer/all seasons on the highway, I'll get 28mpg. With snow tires and ski rack, mixed highway/city, high teens.

Here are current pictures of the exterior. Not the best photos, but you get the idea.

    Fire sale! $19,000 takes it.

I put a deposit down on the next car today, and picking it up next week. If this doesn't sell by early next week, it's getting traded.

I'll share a hint.... It accelerates faster and stops shorter than the FRS, but it's not a sports car...

I can't believe no one has bought this yet, since the six cylinder is the most powerful engine in a Legacy, and especially since Subaru only puts CVTs in the new ones. Once the six-speed WRX goes away, there will be no more Subarus I will consider buying.
