I have here a standard definition Sony Trinitron Wega flat tube non HDTV.

It is pretty much the nicest TV I'll ever own, besides the fact that it isnt HD. Its one of the highest line SDTVs ever sold, it was right at the end of the line really for the high buck SDTVs. This one has a small dent on the front (not a big deal) and a small unnoticeable scratch on the screen. Works perfectly. Best sounding TV I've ever had. Was $1,800 brand new. It is a seriously nice TV.

Loaded with features and housed in an attractive grey chassis, the Sony KV-32FV16 32-inch TV delivers a sharp, crystal-clear picture with vibrant colors and corner-to-corner detail. The TV employs a Trinitron WEGA flat picture tube to minimize glare and distortion—a must for people with large rooms and varied light sources. The flat tube improves the picture detail from the center to the edge, unlike conventional curved screens, so viewers can enjoy the results from virtually anywhere in the room. The KV-32FV16 also offers a 16:9 enhanced aspect ratio, which maximizes the picture resolution for widescreen sources such as select DVDs, and dual-tuner picture-in-picture, which broadcasts two programs at once so users don't have to miss a moment of simultaneous sporting events or movies.

The TV owes its superior resolution to several video enhancements, including a 3D digital comb filter, vertical line enhancement for sharpening picture definition, velocity scan modulation for sharpening the edges of objects on the screen, and the combination of Dynamic Focus and Dynamic Picture circuitry. The TV is also well equipped to deliver outstanding audio with its Dynamic Acoustic Chamber (DAC) speaker system (15 watts x 2), MTS stereo decoder with DBX noise reduction, and SRS 3D audio effect, which simulates rich 5.1-channel surround sound in the two-speaker setup. The combined audio options let the viewer listen through the built-in speakers, select an outside audio source, and even listen to an alternate audio broadcast of the same program (SAP) when available.

The KV-32FV16 also includes plenty of convenient user features, such as favorite channel preview (lets the viewer preview up to eight favorite channels without leaving the current channel), SpeedSurf rapid channel scanning, Steady Sound volume equalizing (no more obnoxiously loud commercials), an express 181-channel tuning system, channel labeling for up to 40 stations, a sleep timer, and Freeze Memo (pauses an image in a picture-in-picture window). As with most Sony TVs, the device offers a V-chip parental control, closed captioning, and color temperature adjustment.

The TV's component video input ensures the best video quality for DVD players, while the two S-video inputs and three composite inputs connect all manner of other equipment, including VCRs, camcorders, video game consoles, satellite receivers, and more. The TV also includes four audio inputs, one audio output, one monitor out, a Control-S in/out, and three S-link outputs. In addition, the unit is Energy Star compliant.

The Speed Surf allows for quick scanning of channels at the touch of a button. The Channel Fix automatically sets TV to specific channel (i.e., 3) for cable box control, allowing viewer to control cable box via the TV remote control. DAC Speaker System provides resonance bass response while midrange sounds are pumped forward to ensure clear dialog reproduction. Separate tweeters aimed to the front balance out the sound. The KV-32FV16 also features MTS stereo TV decoder, SteadySound auto volume, Advanced on-screen menu, Clock timer, and Sleep Timer (15/30/45/60/90).

I live in uptown, come and get it. I don't think its possible to even buy a new standard def TV this good new anymore (no market for them). If you don't have HD cable then you don't really need a HDTV anyways, I actually used to watch this one instead of my HDTV over my basic cable since it looked so much better with the awesome filters whole the HD revealed the ugliness of the true cable signal and had a terrible picture from SD sources.
