I would like to sell my 50cc Tank scooter. Its pretty much brand new yet. I had won it in a drawing last spring and drove it to work and back when I was still in St. Cloud.

The scooter has 80 miles on it. Its still not totally broken in(100 miles). Gets 100mpg and can get up to 45mph and fits 2 people. Well one really unless you have a small girlfriend!

I'll be honest. Its no Honda, but it doesn't cost as much either. I'd like $575. Its kinda generic, it cost $1000 new from the place that sells them in St. Cloud. But, its a really fun toy! But, I myself just don't have time for it.

I don't have pictures of the actuall scooter as it is at my old place in St. Cloud. But if anyone wants I can take some pics of it and the odometer. It does need a new battery and I think a new plug. I forgot to turn off the lights and didn't put stabil in the gas tank last fall:mad:

Otherwise it runs great. Especially for some of the wrench heads around here, it would be a fun summer toy.

It has the tote on the back seen in these pics, but that can come off and it has a spoiler you can put on that I also have. Or they can both be left off. You will need to insure it if you want to drive it on the road tho.

PM me if anyone has questions or offers. Oh yeah, its yellow too!

that is sweet, i should buy it for going to work, tempting but not sure if i would use it enough to make it worth it, i don't go through too much gas the way it is. i'm sure you will sell it easy enough though at that price.

I used to scoot to work, but now I live far enough away that I can't make it with my blistering 45mph top speed.

If you live in a city be aware that you can commute for 2 weeks on 3 bucks worth of gas on one of these things though. Saves a lot of money for me.

I got one just like that. They work way good for the price and they can take a beating. Ive only had mine for like a year or so and its been crashed hard at about 40 a few times (drunk friends think its a good idea to steal the keys and go for a late night spin) and it still runs fine. Definitely a good buy for that price, I payed 1200 for mine.

so is it completely road legal, like registered with license? I live in andover and work in blaine and take hwy 65 to work, would this work there?

Oh yeah, do you need a motorcycle lisence legally to drive it?

At least it's not as embaressing to ride this to work than the mini-motorcycles where both your knees stick outward. I would like to own one of these someday when I live closer to work.

Well this isn't a moped. But I still wouldn't take it on the freeway. Someone will run you off the road just for slowing them down!

Since it goes faster than 30mph, I think you might need the motorcycle endorsement. But I'm not sure how strictly this is enforced.

    From the DVS website:

Any person who has a valid driver's license may operate a motorized bicycle without taking any further tests or having an endorsement on the license. Anyone without a driver's license, regardless of age, must obtain a motorized bicycle operator's permit.

The legal definition of a motorized bicycle is: " A bicycle that is propelled by a motor of a piston displacement capacity of 50 cubic centimeters or less, and a maximum of two brake horsepower, which is capable of a maximum speed of not more than 30 miles per hour on a flat surface with not more than one percent grade in any direction when the motor is engaged."

anything 50cc or less is classed as a moped, especally a tank which will still have a variator restrictor and exhaust restrictor still installed unless you removed them. Most also have an ecu restriction to keep them under 30mph so they can be sold to people without motorcycle permits.

You do not need a motorcycle endoresement to ride one and riding it on any hwy/county road is illegal and on top of that dangerous. You'll see what I mean the second some truck comes barelling down on you and passes you and the wind wash puts you onto the shoulder.

This scoot is not ok to ride on highways. Even a kitted 70cc is dangerous on highways as the suspensions and brakes are not designed for speeds over 40mph.
