Got an ad for it on CarSoup.com and here's a link but no guarantees it'll work (CarSoup.com is bad about this) http://www.carsoup.com/used/detail....w=false&src=8&GRGACC=6/13/2006&CNF=0&amount=0 A few quick details: * 125000 miles and some change * 1.5 years ago added new gas struts, BF Goodrich Traction T/A tires and battery. Tires could use a rotation and wheels could use a balancing but treadwear is good. * Body in good shape although a *tiny* bit of the old rust is showing through on the rear, passenger's-side wheel well. You'll have to see that for yourself to get a better idea. * Mechanically quite sound with expected age-related issues: needs new ignition wires as it hesitates until warming up in rain. * Currently a superfluous car and has hardly been driven this last year (I work at home). Last time I drove it was a week ago and that's about as often as I do drive it: once weekly. * Includes stock AM/FM cassette deck but I'll throw in my car-ready Sony Diskman with MP3/WMA compatability. Actually quite nice for road-trippin'. More picky details (AC = yes, for example) and contact info on CarSoup.com. PM me here, too, if you wish.
Nice car. Here's a slightly modified carsoup link that should work. The MarketID=1 at the end sets the location. http://www.carsoup.com/used/detail....=8&GRGACC=6/13/2006&CNF=0&amount=0&MarketID=1
Hes talking about me and my wagon cause we have the same colours. The only exception...mines a little bit more sporty than the original 'Outback Sport."
Bump! Did have a nibble on this one last week. Some 19-year-old girl offered me 1/2 my asking price! *sigh* The car does, apparently, have a couple mechanical issues I didn't know about entirely: * Rack and pinion need work * Couple leaky brake lines * Rear pinion seal leaking? WTF? Leaky brake lines are easy enough for me to fix on my own. I could probably even get in there and tighten up/replace whatever is needed with the rack-and-pinion. That one I've suspected since I've had the car: a little rattle can be heard but not felt going hard around bumpy corners. It's never gotten worse, though. But, rear pinion seal? If I'm remembering that right. I believe that's something Quality Coaches here in town told me they're keeping an eye on but so far it's not enough to warrant fixing. Anyone got a clue about that and ease/non-ease of self-repair? I told the girl I wasn't about to let it go for almost 1/2 of the $6K I was asking and I've got time on my side to see what someone out there might be willing to pay for this. Here's the funny thing: part of her "bargaining" was to point out that the timing belt needs replacing ... in 25,000 miles ... You know, the whole motor might need replacing in about 200,000 miles, too ... heh heh ...
