I had these heads done by chimera earlier this year. As I have no WRX anymore I have no use for them. Many people know how much stock heads are going for. They have been flow benched. well if its cool im heading that way in wed i might just pic it up so lmk ....and just making sure the vf28 is off of the sti but im a noob at some of this subaru stuff lmk
IRC the VF28 is off of a V5 STI from japan. Someone correct me if im wrong. The USDMs had the 34 and 39 newer ones have different ones but idk what they are
ok well ill let you know when the pics come up ..if thats ok ...i looked and im not heading that way wed im goin the opposite way lol lmk if that cool
The VF28 is smaller than the VF22/30/34, it uses the same exhaust housing as the VF22, and the smaller compressor housing of the VF23. And it is from the V5 STi. Single scroll VF turbos are from largest to smallest: 22 > 34(ball bearing) = 30(roller bearing) > 35 > 23/28 > 24 <- The differences aren't much here. The VF39 falls in somewhere behind the 35 with the 23/24/28 turbos. Twin scroll VF turbos from largest to smallest: 42 > 38 > 36 > 37 This isn't necessarily size related with regards to the 3X series VFs, it is more about the composition of the internals and the bearing types.
NP, and I guess the point of my post is that the VF28 isn't going to be noticably different than the VF39 that is on the 04-07 STi.
All Single Scroll VF series turbos that have been installed on Turbo imprezas have the same exhaust flange for the most part. The VF22 is a bolt on affair, and can be mated to the stock DP.
hey wahtever man, ha, youre all in a hurry to get paid up there says 450 u want em gone youll take offers im talkin cash ur talkin hurry hurry i had a 2 minute conversation w u aint answered ****, i wanted to ask if it comes w valves, what they flowed, do you have cams, what head gasket size were you gonna go with, and you exploded like 4th of july acting like im wasting your time within 2 minutes yknow what man if you cant have decent convo with a potential customer then what the hell am i supposed to drop 450 on u on a dimes notice and you aint even told me what kind of heads they are yet? WOW MAN GET A LIFE BROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
From what I can tell, you said "Cash in hand, consider them sold." If someone came to my house and told me "Consider this item sold, I have cash" and then showed up and wanted to ask questions and such, then yeah, you're wasting my time. You said you'd pay and you were going to take the item and then you start ****ing around with questions. You ask questions BEFORE you commit to buy, that's how it works.
Oh is that right, so im not entitled to ask questions presale eh? all this texting and **** i friggin hate the keyboard~! CALL ME MAN I AHVE A MOUTH AND EARS waste of time. damn right it was a waste of time. ya get this, 450 for what? a port job I could do myself? no help no cams no valves pissy ass answers. no friendlyness nothing, within 20 minutes dude wanted me at his front door hahahahah. that doesnt constitue a good salesman or effort to me. I respect you you should give a little back, I dont give a flying hell if 100 people asked you questions and wanted answers. Every new potential should be treated with respect.
you should probably learn to type out complete sentences before you start throwing your hubby's money around like that. I don't think he would appreciate you impulse buying without his supervision, considering you can't even type properly on a computer.
Meh well some good came of my rant threads lol heads are pending sale to mike lol hahaha... Oh and if you have a flow bench at home then by all means go and port your heads id love to see your numbers... Really i would if you can do good head porting then i shall retract everything i have said and appologize until then GTFO of my thread
