Okay, here's the skinny. Originally thought this alternator might have been *about* to die, so I ordered a new 140A one. Turns out it is definitely not dying - had it load tested twice and it is fine and have been driving on it quite a while - but I'm going to keep the new 140A alternator. I'll sell it for $40 + your old alternator (so I can send it in for the core refund). I will guarantee that it works for the next month. If you buy it and it dies before the end of September I'll give you your cash back. This is only available for a short time, then I'm just going to send this working alternator back for the core refund. This is a good deal if anyone needs an alternator. Would be willing to deliver to Firestone (on Friday is it?, never been yet) or other places in the twin cities (not 30+ miles out, though). This alternator is Mitsubishi #'s 23700-AA390 A2TB2991 (it's the one on the left in the picture), but I think it bolts into quite a few subaru's.
Okay, another bump. Now that my renter's credit came through I might just hang on to this since a working alternator should be worth as much as or more than the core refund. But I digress ... still for sale if you want it.
