you had to do this to me didnt you carl... temptation temptation... I would get some really sick shots in afghanistan with this...if I didnt break it right away
Thank you Carl! Enjoying my Macro already: Those are springtails, what I feed my baby frogs...each critter in the pic is at most 2-3 mm long.
yum yum lol i take it you figured out how to use the lens? i should have showed you how you have to pull/push the body to go between manual and af focus in addition to selecting it on the switch. kind of an odd feature most lenses don't have
ps, I recommend you take a look at this - a nice diy for making a macro ring flash which would really help you take pics of your subject matter (at least i think something like this would be good for your frogs) http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=223859
Yeah, pretty self explanatory, if you already have shot with an SLR. What is the limit/full switch for?
focus limit. it basically gives you an adjustable range for what the af will do (so if you know you're shooting things that are only far away it won't spend a bunch of time hunting to get in focus)
bump, I also have a tamrac system 6 shoulder bag fs http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/169548-REG/Tamrac_560601_5606_Pro_System_6.html $50
