also i might be selling the RS hood, please give me offers on that also.

    thanks, ryan

well the exhaust is all welded together from the previous owner, so it would be easist to sell it all together.

p.s this is also external wastgate, and you won't need a turbo crossmember to make it fit.

i am updating the first post with the list of parts included

I think kalie might want the hood, but she's in the bahammas all week, so we'll have to see if it's still around when she gets back.

i didn't use any em, i was only running about 6lbs of boost, anything under 8lbs of boost on a na motor is pretty safe, it is wise to get a rising rate fpr though. it will be a direct bolt on. one of the ends on the oil feed line broke while i was removing it but i will get that issue resolved when someone buys the kit.

not to crap on ryan's thread but if you are a NOOB at any boosted n/a you'l likely be asking about new blocks shortly after install

This kit doenst have any EM. This is fine for the 2.2l motors which run at a lower compression. When you throw 6lbs at the 2.5l motors which run at close to 1point higher CR it can be a huge issue. IIRC this kit uses an external wastegate which should allow for adjustment of the minimium/maximum boost levels.

This kit initially came off of a 99 RS. which most likely had a stand alone EM.

yeah the boost is adjustable, and erik is right about being new to turbos, especially on a originally n/a motor. you must have self control and be able to keep it at the low boost settings, otherwise things will go boom.

this kit is a very good option for someone with a 1.8 or 2.2 n/a for a few hundred bucks it will make a very noticable difference. however the newer 2.5 motors it will not be nearly as safe to use it on as either the 1.8 or 2.2
