I am planning on selling the turbo kit from my ice racer, will come with everything needed to turbo your NA car, t3 style turbo, will come with full exhaust also (will need to add a piece in the middle to fix the ice race carnage) if interested please give me a offer  also i might be selling the RS hood, please give me offers on that also. thanks, ryan parts included: turbo, intercooler, manifold, uppipe, dp and full exhaust, ex wastegate, tapped oil pan(leaks a bit though), oil feed line, i believe thats everything $300 picked up takes the turbo kit!!
ha ha no, my choice  it will probably get turboed again, but i plan on getting my white car working right so i won't really neeed 2 turboed cars
well the exhaust is all welded together from the previous owner, so it would be easist to sell it all together. p.s this is also external wastgate, and you won't need a turbo crossmember to make it fit. i am updating the first post with the list of parts included
here are pics of it off the car, i don't have pics of the rest of the exhaust because it's at my friends shop that brought it back from orr for me.
i had to fix one of my old intakes to make it all work when i went back to na. i think we just got it too complicated when we put it on, lol.
I think kalie might want the hood, but she's in the bahammas all week, so we'll have to see if it's still around when she gets back.
someone should buy this so i can get my white car going for the summer  buy both the turbo kit and hood together $400 picked up
lol, thanks bill. and the rest of the exhaust wouldn't fit in your car either. unless you want to tie it to your roof:laugh:
yeah you could just use your single port manifold, this one was welded on but that 's not a big deal to switch them up. and no the car will not be sold
i can take some close up pics of that connection, but not until tomm. since i have some more important stuff to do today:biggrin:
hey im interested in your turbo kit and i was wondering what EM did you used because this will go on my dd. its a 99rs so it bolt right up right? thanks in advance
i didn't use any em, i was only running about 6lbs of boost, anything under 8lbs of boost on a na motor is pretty safe, it is wise to get a rising rate fpr though. it will be a direct bolt on. one of the ends on the oil feed line broke while i was removing it but i will get that issue resolved when someone buys the kit.
can you adjust the boost in the kit or is it already set for you? sorry for all the noob questions. thanks in advance
not to crap on ryan's thread but if you are a NOOB at any boosted n/a you'l likely be asking about new blocks shortly after install
This kit doenst have any EM. This is fine for the 2.2l motors which run at a lower compression. When you throw 6lbs at the 2.5l motors which run at close to 1point higher CR it can be a huge issue. IIRC this kit uses an external wastegate which should allow for adjustment of the minimium/maximum boost levels. This kit initially came off of a 99 RS. which most likely had a stand alone EM.
yeah the boost is adjustable, and erik is right about being new to turbos, especially on a originally n/a motor. you must have self control and be able to keep it at the low boost settings, otherwise things will go boom. this kit is a very good option for someone with a 1.8 or 2.2 n/a for a few hundred bucks it will make a very noticable difference. however the newer 2.5 motors it will not be nearly as safe to use it on as either the 1.8 or 2.2
