FS: EJ25 block with full gasket kit

I was planning on doing a bottom end swap with the EJ25 block but sold my car. This block comes with a full gasket kit, block is still in factory crate. Brand new was 1400 with gasket kit. Asking 700/BO.

what style 2.5 is this? 255 (lgt, fxt wrx06 +) 257 (sti) 251 (phz1 dohc) or 253 (phz 2 sohc)

 

I'm interested in getting this, and also interested in what style this is

 

I believe it is the 257 (sti) I bought it shortly after the STI came out in the US

 

Whoa, that's a great deal if it's a 257.....

 

it will say it (the code) on the top of the block

 

provide a part number and i can identify it.

 

Where will I find the code.....lots of numbers......the only specific ID i can make out is EJ25

 

should be a part number, 10 digits, on its own little sticker

probably have an AA or two letters in the middle of it.

 

Im interested if it will work on a 2.0 wrx

Its a 255, so its a fxt lgt and 06+ wrx block

 

Sounds good 700 is still a good price

 

not to doubt you, but isn't that an sti block manufactured from 2004-06?

 

nvm, if i change from legacy to impreza it shows this part number......


so if we are talking legacy its a 255 but if we are talking impreza its 257....very interesting


so this is for sure a 257

 

so i guess the 255 that comes in the legacy and imprezas are different from eachother. at least in part number.


10103ab630 is the 255 for the impreza (wrx)

 

I thought that was what I bought......I intended to buy, was told what it was. I bought it from Exeter Subaru in 03

 

hmm... a picture of the block piston side would confirm if it's a 255 or a 257

 

beleive me, i was so confused when i started researching blocks cause SOA like to change #'s on us:hsugh:

 

guess i never really looked into it that deeply

Nevermind... Kit doesnt include the head gaskets i need and also would give me many gaskets and seals i dont need.
