I cleaned and took the 17" Enkei 10-spokes wrapped in Potenza RE070s off the STI with less than 225 miles of use before I put on the winter setup, and they've been in storage since. They've never seen a speed over 70 mph. They're in perfect condition, and still sporting the tire dressing from the dealer. Corrected price: $1600. That's a bit more than 10% less than you can get the setup for, plus they're already mounted, balanced, and no shipping/handling. Pics below.
The main problem (aside from the pricing) is that those wheels are a 5x114.3 bolt pattern, and so that excludes 95% of the Subarus out there. The other 5% are either STI or SVX owners. I see STI rims going for well under half that new off of cars, so while I wish you the best on your sale you might want to consider what the market will bear and adjust your price accordingly.
I was being sarcastic... I dont care... cause anyone reading that price would say the same thing I said...
lol the same ones that got mine I guess... seriously. you really might want to rethink the price on these. My eyes popped out fo their sockets a little bit when I saw the ad
The only thing the RE070s suck at is snow and ice. Otherwise, they're a very good tire and well suited to a performance car.
I have a new found respect for the RE070's...they do not suck. And yeah, I paid roughly 1/3 of this for gold BBS's with brand new RE070's on them (yes, I know, different wheel...but still).
you must be thinking of the RE92, which comes stock on many other subarus. the STi actaully comes with good tires. (imagine if the STi came with RE92s....)
A bit late, but I've edited the OP. Big thanks to Brian, Rich and Matt for the helpful posts and PMs! Even the older newbies need a swift kick in the arse sometimes! And thanks to the mods for deleting the less than helpful first few responses.
<------Cursing Subaru engineers for not going to a 5x114.3 on all WRX's. I'd be on these in a heartbeat. Good luck with the sale!
