It is with mixed emotions that I am posting the beloved Saabaru up for sale. I’ve been having a lot of fun with the car, and it’s been a blast to drive. However, I am only posting the car for sale because I’m starting to look into a STi, and it will be easier to make a purchase if the Saabaru is sold.
I’m in no rush, and this is somewhat of a feeler. I might even end up keeping it! The car does have a lien from the bank, however it is a community credit union (not a large national bank), and they are very easy to deal with.

    Details on my car:
    2005 Saab 92x Aero
    Miles: 95,xxx
    2.0L Turbo H4
    5 Speed Manual
For those of you not aware, the Saabaru is the same as the 05 WRX wagon. Here's a list of the specific differences:
    http://saab92x.com/viewtopic.php?id=406

    Location: Minneapolis, MN, near Uptown/Whittier.

    History:
I bought the car with 57,7xx miles in 2009 and it was my daily driver for my first sales job. I am the 3rd owner - the first owner only had the car for a short time (like 5k miles or so). The second owner was a middle-aged guy who kept the car stock and in excellent condition. He was only selling because his second child was on the way. The car was garaged by previous owners, and I have kept the car garaged, with the exception of one year.

I drove 20k miles (mainly highway) in 6 months (not happy!) and got a new job with a company car in January 2010. Since then, I am no longer daily driving the Saabaru. I went stage 2 at 79,407 and have done some other suspension mods – however the car will come with stock exhaust and stock tune.

Yes, I have run the car in autox, however the car has always been well maintained.

    Maintenance:
The oil has always been changed at 3k miles or less with synthetic oil, now running Rotella T6.
Transmission fluid and rear differential fluid was changed at 60k (along with the other 60k maintenance), and I just changed the fluid again at 94,900 miles.
Front passenger axle was also replaced at 94,900 (axle boot tore due to heat from the downpipe, common issue).
New spark plugs at 95,200 and I am changing the engine coolant in the near future.
I recently checked the compression, and the numbers came back solid at 150, 150, 150, and 145 psi.

    Exterior:
Car has never been in any accidents, but it did have hail damage. The hood was replaced/painted and all of the other dents were fixed. The car does have 2 or 3 small dents from a storm last year, but these are being fixed. Otherwise the exterior is in good condition, with the exception of the usual rock chips. Car also has the roof rails and cross bars from a WRX wagon. Bike rack not included.

    Interior:
Excellent shape – carpet is in great shape, bugeye seats are in decent shape, and the trim pieces are in good shape.
Heated Wiper Blades and Heated Side Mirrors

    Engine/Transmission/Driveline:
Here are the mods that would stay on the car:
    -Group N engine mounts
    -GroupN transmission mount
    -GroupN transmission pitch stop
    -Samco Silicone IC Hoses
-Kartboy short shifter and Kartboy knob
-Russel coated stainless steel brake lines
-Hawk HP+ front pads (may need to be replaced soon, rotors are fine)
    -STi catless uppipe

    Interior/other:
-HEATED seats from 02-03 WRX. I have the stock seats as well.
-Alpine head unit (aux, USB, MP3)
    -Wiring for subwoofer
    -Mudlfaps
    -OEM Lamco Boost Gauge
-Original clutch (I don’t like to ride the clutch). Still holds strong and does not slip.
-I have an Invidia V3 Divorced Wastegate catless downpipe that is currently listed for sale. If it doesn’t sell, I can consider letting it go with the Saabaru.

    Wheels:
-stock 16” Enkeis with snow tires that have maybe one winter. I will also include Continental DWS All Season tires that have some tread left.
-If interested, I can also include the Rota Boosts 17x8 that are in the pictures – no tires included.

Mods that are currently on the car, but are NOT included with the sale:
-Full 3 inch turbo-back exhaust. Car will come with stock exhaust and stock tune.
    -Perrin lightweight pulley
    -F/R strut bars
-Tokico D-Specs, RCE Yellow springs, MSI front camber plates, Group N Rear top hats, Hotchkis 25.4mm hollow front sway bar, Kartboy front endlinks, STi rear sway bar – please inquire if you are interested in purchasing this suspension setup. (This is a great setup for autox and very comfortable on the city streets.) Otherwise car will come with stock struts/springs.

    UPDATE:
Car will now come stage 2 with the following:
    - Invidia V3 Divorced Wastegate Catless Downpipe
    -Greddy EVO 1 Catback
-Stage 2 tune from Nuke with stock boost levels

Also, the strut bars and the Perrin lightweight pulley are off the car and not for sale.

    Pics (first two are older):

    More recent with stock wheels:

    Current wheels (little bit dirty):

(I'll post some more pics once I get it cleaned up)

    Asking Price: $10,499
I believe this a fair price, especially considering that most WRX wagons with similar mileage are going for much more. Feel free to send me offers – low ballers, don’t bother. Overall, the car pretty much needs nothing. It almost goes without saying that this car is rare, and you will get plenty of compliments!

The ONLY trades that I would consider:
-06/07 STi, one owner, stock, lower miles, preferably Aspen White or even WRB
-BMW 135i, 335i, or older 2 door coupes…far down on the list, but I’d look into one.

Please contact me via PM, and keep your negative comments to yourself. I go out to most of the Tuesday night meets at Lake Calhoun, and you are welcome to check out the car there.

Perfect....iv been looking for a car that I don't care about and could smash up worse then Emily's lgt......keep your saabaru or I may just smash it....you wouldn't want that.

Is all this because they wouldn't include you in the MI world record event?

Almost forgot to mention...the saabaru does come with the super sweet custom "STi" decals:
[IMG]FYI - the car no longer sits that low (was on Cobb springs before), and will come with stock suspension...or the D-Spec setup for the right price ;)

I've heard that the Saabaru (even though being a WRX wagon) came with a STI steering rack? Any truth to that? If so, yet another reason to buy!

Yes, it sure does! And let me tell you, it is a pretty noticeable difference. Every time that I drive someone else's WRX, the first thing that I notice is how "sloopy" their steering is.

:( unfortunately, I'll be out of town for the MOWOG 7 and 8, and I might miss MOWOG 9 too. If I can make it to any of them, I may try to codrive, or maybe rip it up in the company car :) haha

    Thanks Pete.

...and its a very, VERY sad day - the Saabaru is pending sale to a buyer from craigslist :( I'm going to be pretty sad when I watch it drive away...I think I might tell him he has to bring it out to meets otherwise I won't sell it to him!

Anyway, the sale of this car will hopefully soon put a nice STi in my garage and a big grin on my face :D
