FS: Front & rear JDM STi v8 seats - $400

One full set front/rear JDM STi v8 seats, pull-offs left over from Rallispec race car build. Used for ~5 years.

The JDM side bolsters are more aggressive than the USDM side bolsters, which I’ve always felt were too generous for a car with good cornering.

These are a direct swap for original USDM v8 STi front seats. Since they are JDM, the passenger-side seat (driver-side in Japan) has a height adjustment.

In order to retain the USDM driver-side height adjustment, your original USDM seat base is retained, with the JDM seat back and JDM bottom and back cushions.

In order to put these in to a GC8 chassis, I purchased a used seat base from a USDM v8 STi. The height-adjustment bar had been twisted slightly, causing one side of the seat to sit about 1/4” higher, but rather than have the bar corrected I left it as-is. I’m including that seat base, but if you’re using your own STi v8 seat base this won’t be necessary.

Condition:

Overall the seats are in great shape. No stains or tears, and minimal wear.

Front seats: The red STi logo stitching was never quite perfect (see close-up).

Rear seats: They’ve always had a couple of small pulls in the weave of the material, near where the driver-side rear door would be (see close-up).

Nice deal, I'd really want these for my GC8, but I don't think spending more money on a car that hasn't moved in a decade is the greatest idea.

 

Good point...then you'd have a GC8 with JDM STi v8 seats that aren't moving either!

 

If they're still here after xmas, I'll probably just buy them just because.
