I remembered thinking my snow tires were low so I ordered a new set. It turns out they still have 5-6/32nds which is a serviceable amount of tread, but I have already purchased replacements. They are 205/55/16 Blizzak WS-50 on 2002 WRX 16" wheels. I thought someone might have a set of bare wheels or ones with trashed tires and want to trade plus some cash. You'd end up with useable snows without having to pay $60-$100 mount and balance. I'd end up with useable wheels and some money to make me feel better about blowing a bunch on unneeded new tires. If not I will probably pull the Blizzaks and mount my new tires some time next week and sell the Blizzaks alone. *Note* I am not interested in selling the combination outright as I will obviously need wheels to mount my new tires to.
Sorry, that would leave me in the same position I am now, wheels with tires I don't need. I suppose maybe if the all seasons are in great shape and worth more than my Blizzaks. I do as well so if nobody wants to do a full wheel and tire trade I will pull them next week and sell them separately. I'm not sure about price. I can't imagine they are worth more than $100, maybe less. I'll have to do a quick craigslist search to see what others are asking. I would be open to offers though.
I am in St. Paul. Sorry for the lack of pictures so far. It's been a busy week. I'll try to snap some before I get to bed tonight and get them up tonight or tomorrow morning.
I snapped a couple in my dark garage last night. They aren't great, but hopefully they give a general idea.
They are. I haven't gotten around to pulling them off yet (busy busy busy!), but it looks like I will be selling the tires separately. There wasn't much interest in trades.
I don't want to sell outright, because I need something to mount my new tires on. PM me what wheels you have and we can talk about trade potential. I like the stock wheels and mine are in pretty good shape, but I will consider other styles if I like them/they are in good shape. I've been slow to get to this, but if I don't do a trade with someone I hope to swap tires this weekend when I get some free time. It's almost snow time....
So I finally pulled these tires off today. My measurements are pretty solid, but it looked like at least one shoulder was worn a little more than the rest of the tread. They are still serviceable, but I figure I'll keep the price pretty low. They should get someone through the season. $80 takes them home. I'm in St Paul.
