Hi Everyone, I'm checking to see if anyone is interested in my 95 SVX. Specs: Emerald Green 1995 Subaru SVX L Manual WRX 5spd AWD 170,000 miles Here are some details: I think there are a few guys here that know this car. If you were at NF Performance's last DCTC event, you would've seen it run there. I bought the car bone stock 8 years ago (They only came from the factory as auto transmission) and over the course of 2 years, swapped it to a WRX manual 5spd. Over time I've done various upgrades getting it closer and closer to an actual sports car versus a GT car. Lots of custom work because nothing is available off the shelf for this car. It handles very well with the coilover suspension and has plenty of power to match. It's set up as a street/track car but could go more track with building the motor or FI. It has a drag coefficient of .29 which puts it in Porsche territory for aerodynamic slipperiness. To reduce weight I've removed many interior parts and panels including dry ice to remove the sound deadening under the carpet. Thieves helped remove the radio. It does not burn oil. I don't drive it very hard, use cruise control on the highway, so the miles on the car are pretty easy going miles. In the past 8 years, the car has only seen 4 winters. Here's the upgrade list: Brakes: Cryo'd/slotted rotors Hawk pads SS brake lines ATE Gold Dot 4 fluid Speed bleeders Handling: Brand new, custom made AMR Engineering coilovers 450/350 front/rear spring rates with 8 step damping adjustment. 17" Silver BBS RK wheels (stock wheels have winter tires and have another set of 245/45/16 Hankook RS2s) BF Goodrich G-Force Sport 245/40/17 WRX front seats Power: 3.3L Boxer 6 (stock figures are 230hp/tq) ecutune Stage 1 chip Akimoto CAI Perrin lightweight (not underdrive) crank pulley Optima Redtop 2.5" exhaust with STI cats Transmission: 02 WRX 5spd Custom, solid transmission mount (crisp shifts, on/off throttle response) short shifter stage 1 Exedy clutch I used to have Uncle Scotty's cocktail, but decided to switch to factory fluid. Considering I was pulling on a new WRX while playing cat&mouse at DCTC a couple weeks ago, I think the car is making in the ballpark of 260-270hp/tq at the crank with the upgrades. BUT, have not had it dyno'd. Maintenance: • Valve cover gaskets just replaced • Rear diff fluid just replaced • New radiator just replaced • Power steering and coolant lines just replaced • Accessory belts just replaced • Timing belt replaced about 20k ago along with tensioner • Oil, full synthetic every 3k • While hunting for a rough idle issue, I replaced: Coolant temp sensor Knock sensors O2 sensors Oil temp sensors MAF (Which was the problem) removed and cleaned the intake and throttle bodies and seafoamed everything. Now for the bad: • The doors are really rusty. BUT, I purchased a set of clean, rust-free doors of the same color to replace the current ones. They are in my garage on a pallet for the lucky buyer. • Rear diff whines. Mechanic said the pinion bearing is starting to fail, but could easily last another 30-40k miles. • Roof clear coat/paint is fading, the rest of the paint is in good shiny condition. • Rear seal or oil separator plate is leaking slightly. Not much, but it's worth mentioning. • Slight valve tapping sound until it warms up, then it goes away. • Exhaust rattle at low rpms under load. I planned on redoing it at Pat's Muffler. Asking price: $6,000 OBO Considering the performance of the car right now and that I've put in about $10k into the car over the years, I think it's reasonable. I really don't need to sell the car, it's paid off and I can turn it into a more track-focused vehicle. However, it's not practical for me to keep a 3rd vehicle around to drive every once in a while. Thanks for looking! More pics to come.
