    1998 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport
171,xxx miles -- this will be increasing, as I usually drive it to work and back daily
    5-speed Manual

I really enjoy this car (it's a blast to drive), but I am thinking about just going down to one car and just getting a winter setup for the STi. It makes for an awesome commuter to work and my various weekend travels, and it's great to have a car that I don't have to worry as much about, but I'm listing it anyways to see what happens.

    Exterior:
RS front bumper and fog lights
    Spoiler-delete rear hatch
    Factory roof rack
    Clear front corner markers

    Interior:
WRX front seats and floor mats
    WRX/Momo shift knob
JVC head unit with aux and USB ports
    Cerwin Vega front door speakers
Extra 12v plug added to console
    Subaru arm rest extension
Power windows and mirrors all work
    A/C works perfectly

    Performance:
    All stock motor
    Timing belt done ~157K
Recently replaced VSS, fixed leaking cam seals
    Amsoil re-usable air filter
Shift linkage rebuilt with Kartboy bushings
    ABS works
    Cruise control works

    Chassis:
KYB Gr2 shocks/struts with RS springs
3/8” spacers in rear strut mounts (to equalize ride-height)
    19mm rear sway bar
    Stock brakes

    The Bad:
Typical dings/scratches on body for a 15-year-old car, but not terrible.
    Fog lights do not work.
Power windows are slow. They all work, just need to be patient when it’s cold
Minor rust in the usual places, not a lot though and could be repaired easily. Some rust is showing on the roof from the middle roof rails, but it isn't bad. Please note that the pictures below don't show the rust that well, as I believe there was some paint covering it up yet.

    The Price:
    $3,600 (OBO)

Forgot to mention that it would probably come with some Legacy wheels instead of the Enkeis.

    Example:

I can take a few tomorrow and post them up (pretty busy with a wedding today).

The initial pics were just the ones I had available at the time.

I believe Ryan is the 4th or 5th consecutive MNSubaru owner of this car. It's been enthusiast-owned and cared for for much of its life, and it shows. If I wasn't already up to my neck in home repairs this summer, I'd seriously consider buying it back.

The roof basket could probably go separately, unless the car doesn't sell.

I drove it to Madison and back this weekend, and got about 380 miles out of the tank of gas. The first 50 miles or so were all city-ish miles, the other 330 included highway driving at 65-70 mph with the roof basket.

glws, the NA impreza's with a manual are very peppy and fun to drive!

PS...if you want a "winter setup" for your STi, I have a nice set of Enkei's with snow tires that would look excellent on your STi. Just sayin' ;)

    I'm guessing that you're not a fan of NA's?
I actually find my 2.5L manual saabaru surprisingly responsive and fun to drive...at low rpm's. Of course it falls its face at high rpm's, but for normal tearing around town, I ride the low rpm's.

I just realized that I wrote that the timing belt was replaced at around 157K miles. I didn't own the car until around 164K miles, so it was actually done at 167K.
