I have a complete JDM Ver.7 swap I am looking to sell because I am going a completely different direction with my car. For those that don't know, this engine has factory forged pistons, semi closed deck unlike the USDM 2.0L engines, has an 8000rpm redline, and AVCS. It is very smooth and different compared to an EJ257. What's included: Ver.7 EJ207 engine (estimated 60k miles on engine) I installed a new timing belt (the blue gates belt), idlers, tensioner, cam seals, and water pump before I installed it. I also did a valve adjustment and they are all within factory spec. Ver.7 VF34 with no shaft play Ver.7 pink injectors Ver.7 top mount intercooler Ver. 7 tuned JDM ECU with IAPerformance AVCS wiring kit Ver.7 6sp non-DCCD transmission with R180 differential, STI driveshaft, rear conversion axles (work with standard WRX hubs) and good newer OEM clutch. All accessories (A/C compressor which works great, alt, PS, starter) 6sp shifter trim, kartboy 6sp shifter bushings This drivetrain is literally bolt-in/plug and play/turn key to a 02-05 WRX (and I'm sure some other models as well). You could swap this in a weekend and the car will look OEM. The car was stock while it was in Japan (no signs of modifications or engine disassembly). I only added a GrimmSpeed BCS, a silicone turbo inlet, and a downpipe/exhaust and had Nuke tune it. I've had it in my car for around 7k miles and it runs and drives like a new car. No leaks, burns no noticeable oil, and is very strong. It's an awesome combination. I am asking $7500. The reason this is more than some importers charge is because it has all the maintenance items done (and is tested), includes the AVCS plug and play wiring, and includes the expensive rear conversion axles.
If you don't mind telling us what motor are you planning to put in the wagon? It's an awesome deal. Do you know if this would be plug and play on a wrx swap impreza? Just wondering. Thanks.
If you have a sorted out WRX swap, this will bolt right in. You would just unplug your ECU, plug in the japanese ECU and add the AVCS wiring harness I have.
Actually, the Japanese STIs had Brembos. This setup includes all the axles to swap into a WRX with no hub or brake changes but it includes the 6sp and R180. The rear axles are conversion axles.
