The GS hood struts are awesome...With them my hood opens basically straight vertical and no hood prop to get in the way! I just recently replaced my stock heat shield with the GS unit. Because of the aftermarket downpipe, I too only had 2 mounting points (one way down low on the pass side near the UP and one up top on the DP heat shield bracket under the TMIC) and it is still very secure even using just those two mounting points - thing is solid, no issues with rattles. Two great products at great prices...GLWS!
