They'll come with top hats. $200 obo Springs, Struts, and top hats together for $300
i think that replacing springs is pretty difficult because you need a tool to compress them, and compressed springs that can support a car have a s$%# load of potential energy in them. if so your going to have to let a pro do them, for safety's sake. (i think, someone please correct me if i'm wrong, for all i know the springs may not need to be compressed when installing them on Subaru's.) out side of that looks like a great deal! GLWS!
Actually, the stock springs aren't too horribly compressed (not like a honda accord or something) Also, a lot of aftermarket lowering springs (depending on spring length) don't require a spring compressor to install. You usually just need to compress the rear springs half an inch or so to get the top nut started. Last set of HR springs I installed didn't require spring compressors, but I'm not sure if these are the same ones as the ones I installed. If you do need spring compressors, most auto parts stores have them for rent. Otherwise I think I bought mine from Sears for $40. Anyway, glws. How many miles on the struts?
off an 02, the springs have about 1k miles on them, and the struts were bought by the previous owner right about 4500 miles before i bought the car and i put 12k on them before my build and then about another 1k miles after my build. I have spring compressors, i put this setup together, i have taken others apart, just keep them aimed away from your face incase they let go for some reason. pm's returned.
