Nope, lamp is still original and bright as can be. The warranty does cover lamps, and will be honored by the warranty company even after circuit goes out of business.

I did have to have a thermal sensor replaced. It was faulty and thinking things were getting too hot. I have the receipt for that, and it was covered under the warranty as well.

If you are serious about buying I don't have a problem with showing it off so you can see the performance. I do have blu-ray hooked up so you can see it in its full glory!

ah i see, well then he probably knows about the thermal sensor. the guy that came and fixed it said it was common for a while for that sensor to go out.

otherwise it has been a fantastic tv, if i didnt need a flat screen that mounts on a wall I wouldnt even be trying to get rid of it.

who came and put the thermal sensor in your tv? company wise??

I would love to buy it but I dont think now is the right time. we leave for mexico in a month. if you still have it when we get back and get taxes back we may be talking. was more asking about the info to see if the sensor was replaced and to help other potential buyers.
