(Note from stoooo: I just copied this from another forum because I'm too lazy to type a message up specifically for you lot. The missus wrote it.) Yes, well, it is time for our actual garage sale. We have a 20 foot cargo container for our belongings, and whatever doesn't fit in it will be for sale on August 15th. Our sale starts at 8 a.m. and it will finish when we run out of stuff, or 6 pm, whichever comes first. I doubt we will run out of stuff. We will be advertising our sale. Now, there will undoubtedly be someone asking me to list our stuff. I can't do it; this isn't a "ooh, I'd like to sell this to make enough money to dye my hair" kind of sale. This is a "jeez, we have to get rid of this stuff in a great big hurry so let's price it to move like hotcakes" kind of sale. Most of our electronics won't work overseas, and we have way too much kid stuff. We're not getting rid of our stuff because it is junk; we're getting rid of it because we have to pay dearly if we go over our 20 foot container limit. We have a 1700 square foot house that is jam packed. After our beds, our couches, kitchen table, clothes and a few computers, nothing else will fit in the container. The rest is for sale. Our cars are for sale. Our house is for sale. Our children and my big lovely bed are not for sale. Stuart *****s himself out to employers but is otherwise not for sale. --Trish p.s. Our address: 8590 Saratoga Lane, Eden Prairie, 55347.
hmm.....My uncle lives in EP. and he's always accumulating interesting stuff......I shall forward to him.
We're moving to Cyprus, a small island about 45miles south of Turkey. It was time for a change, and my folks already live there, so we decided to go and join them. Stuart.
Of automotive interest at the sale will be a couple of jacks, a bunch of different RedLine fluids, a pair of big honking jack stands, a Mr. Clean car washing kit and, if there's no room in the container for them, a pair of brand new 12000lb Rhino Ramps that I never did get around to using. Stuart.
The second word is 'no'. But, if you choose to buy it and part it out yourself, I'd be OK with that. I do have many of the stock/OEM pieces that will be included with it.
Going off of the OP, is it safe to say that Trish is for sale? What did you have in the way of Redline fluids?
Absolutely. But I have an Arab already lined up willing to part with 3 camels and 11 goats for her. Beat that offer, and she's all yours  Some 5W30, Water Wetter, Injector Cleaner, ATF (for the power steering). I think there's also an unopened tin of ATE SuperBlue. And just a quick note to everyone, if you want stuff, come and get it, or it's going on the charity truck. I do not have time to be delivering items. We are moving to another continent, not to a new apartment down the street. This is a *very* busy time. Perhaps that will fend off some of the PMs I've been getting. Stuart.
And here I was wondering what to do with the 4 camels and 12 goats that I currently have running around my apartment You'll have PM shortly
Well, the movers did a grand job yesterday, and we managed to fit in everything we wanted to take, as well as all the maybes. Today, we're busy laying out the garage sale for tomorrow. I'll be in attendance pretty much all day, so feel free to stop by and say hi, and maybe, just maybe, buy up some of the stuff that didn't pass our "Is it worth shipping 6,000miles ?" test. Lots of clothes for little kids, toys, kids bikes, kitchen stuff, garden tools etc. Bye for now, Stuart.
Wow, the sale is going really well. We've had a constant stream of people since before 8am. It's a good job Trish was here early. Stuart.
thanks for the jackstands, always can use another set. I picked up a couple other items too. good luck to you and fam!!!!!
Thanks, Dave. Sorry I missed you when you came back. I think I was on the phone with the shipper. Apparently, you *can* stuff 7100lbs of **** into a 6000lb box. Wow.
