Hi all, I've got a Prodrive stainless catless divided-bellmouth shorty downpipe (whew!) for sale, fits 02-07 WRX. This is a great piece, I've got one on my car; for the price of a crappy eBay downpipe you can have this much higher quality unit! It has been used and has some discoloration and mild surface pitting (on the side that faces the intercooler), see the pics for details. Price is $195now $175.

I've heard that, "it's not the size of your downpipe, but how you use it."

Can you confirm or deny that statement? :p

    GLWS you guy!

Thanks @tangledupinblu! It may be short but it's real thick in the middle, that's got to count for something! ;)

No problem! I've always been a fan of ProDrive stuff. Not just because i'm a megasuperrallyrallyrallybecauseracecar fan, but also because their fitment is fantastic! Ok...i'm done now, GL Uric!

Out of curiosity, what is the advantage over another known brand, like Cobb, et al.?

AFAIK, for reasonable power levels all the quality brands will work fine. Some engine/turbo combos are more prone to boost creep, and I recall hearing that a true divorced downpipe can help somewhat with this compared to the bellmouth style, although an external wastegate is the real solution. One minor advantage of a shorty/two-piece downpipe is that you can easily swap back and forth between a catted rear piece (like the factory one) and a catless 'track pipe', where with a one-piece downpipe you have to decide at the start and catted one-piece downpipes are usually pretty $$. The Prodrive shorty downpipe is 2.5" at its exit to mate up with the factory cat pipe, but again this doesn't have much of an effect until you get to more serious power levels, like > 300WHP.
