I was just going to pick up a passenger harness, but plans changed. I ended up buying 2 new harnesses for my car so I no longer need this one. There is nothing wrong with this one, I am just bad at keeping money in my car account. Craigslist AD HERE This is a 4pt Schroth Harness combined with a 2pt simpson lower unit. I actually didn't know that it was two different brand until I pulled it out of my car. The simpson unit works great with the Schroth Cam Lock. I do not know the history of this harness. I am not sure when it was made or when it expires. There is no date on the Schroth tags on any of the belts. This is a 6 pt clip setup. I have the hardware for the install.
Date these belts were made: October 2008 (actually probably slightly before then, because they usually future date the manufacture date): The data of manufacturer is only relevant for those who race in leagues that require that belts be made within a certain amount of time (which I think is commonly 3 years). FYI, the local MAC autox rules do not have any restrictions on date of manufacture for harnesses (at least not that I'm aware of). Anyway, glws! Harnesses are great for the track...they really hold you in place!
Oh whoops, I just realized that tag is for the Simpson crotch belts. I don't think that all (or any) of the Schroth belts are SFI certified for racing (I could be wrong because I do see SFI on the tag of the Schroth belts). Some Schroth harness are DOT legal, but I'm not sure if these are.
Yeah, just the bottom belt had a date. That is why I included both tags. To some people this information matters. I know that the Schroth Profi II belts I just picked up have an expiration date of 2020 for liability purposes. These belts really do hold you down. I know the previous owner used them a lot in AutoX. My car never hit the track last summer but my around town driving I really noticed how they locked me in place. I was really happy with the belt. That is why I stuck with the brand and just upgraded the model. Cam-lock is the way to go.
If someone isn't going to put it in their car... maybe they want that real life Forza experiance Josh, we require beers down the road. Hit me up
