I've had these up on a couple car audio forums, but I think I can sell them easiler more locally. I've got two subwoofer enclosures laying around I no longer need. One is a pretty generic 1.5 cu.ft. box that will work well with many sealed sub setups. It is made out of 3/4" MDF, lots of screws, lots of glue, and a bead of silicon on every seam inside. It has two pairs of wires to support DVC configurations and uses a spring clip style cup on the side. I've had this box for a couple years, and it has been my base sealed work horse for most every sub I've toyed with, be it ideal or not, lol. It is still uncarpeted to this day, although I do have enough extra grey felt carpeting lying around to finish it off. I've just never been compelled to do it. Dimensions are 36.5" x 8.5" x 12.5". My ported box was specific built to a sub I ran, however, it's a pretty middle of the pack tune that it seems to work decently well with a good variety of subs in a ported configuration. It is of course always best to model up the sub and see what response you get for the box configuration. This box is built the same way, 3/4" MDF, lots of screws, lots of glue, and a bead of silicon on all the seams. This time I just have the wire pass through a small hole through the box. Most seem to prefer this method as it helps ensure you don't have leakage or a blow out that can sometimes happen with cup style terminals. Again, it has two pairs of wires to support DVC subs. This one is carpeted. It also incorporates a nifty tie down system for the Forester. Dimentions are 36.5" x 10.5" x 18". I'm basically just looking for cost of hardware here, so just toss me a Jackson or two and it's yours. If you're ever planning to be in the Mankato/Rochester area, I can bring it along some weekend and we can meet. Otherwise, I'm up in the Cities from time to time and bring the box along. I'm kind of avoiding shipping because there just isn't a lot of value in doing so. Matt
I can't believe no one's doing car audio upgrades with this nice weather... I know someone out there wants a box for their new sub.
They're decent enough, lol. Here's a build of the ported box I made for my Pioneer PRS 12" sub. http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18244 Here's one I built for my DIYMA sub. http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27140 (can skip to page 4 for box pics) The sealed one was my first. I've only built the 3 boxes so far. I follow the mantra lots of screws, lots of glue, and lots of silicon  They're sturdy. I just can't call them beautiful. I've seen some very nice boxes by people far more skilled with wood than I. My next might be a try at fiberglass. That'll be fun.
