I'll post pictures later, but these tires don't have much tread left. I'm guessing about 30k miles on them and I tend to drive them pretty hard. There is a plug in one. They should hold up for another summer, though. If you want them, let me know - I don't consider them worth very much. Maybe $40?
yep. Got them from previous owner of car last December. He said they had 8k on them. I may have the receipt laying around somewhere. Put them on in April. Ran them all summer. Hmmm ... maybe they have significantly less than 30k now that I think about it. I'll try to snap some photos tonight. In fact : <--- those are them there in my avatar
hmm, so they will fit becasue your stockers are 205...let me try and sell my tires and then ill get back to you, because i would really like a lower profile tire.
Hmm .. I better go check and take a couple photos. I thought stock was 215. I do know that these are slightly wider tires than what is recommended, but they definitely fit on my 16x7 +53 stock 6-spoke RS wheels. They are also a lower profile. I think in the end they were a very slight bit smaller in final diameter (and probably a bit moreso now with most of the tread worn off). So, you will actually be going a couple mph less than what you're speedo says, but it was very, very little (like so little that the gauge itself could be off more I'm guessing). But if you wanna try a half-decent dedicated summer tire than pick these up. They should hold through another summer fine and be better than all seasons (wet performance will suffer most from the lack of tread I'd guess, and I can say that these were already starting to hydroplane on the highway when it was raining heavy).
FYI, assuming you have the stock LGT wheels, they are 1/2" narrower than stock RS wheels.... that said, I have 225s mounted on a set of 16x6.5s (they're WRX wheels, but same dimensions as yours). they fit fine, little buldge, but not too bad. also, a 225/50 is only about 3 hundreths of an inch shorter than a 205/55. really not any lower profile, just wider.
bump. Need these outta here. Suppose nobody really wants a pile of tires in their garage/basement all winter. Don't make me burn these on the boulevard.
