yes it is probably a better way for him.. I meant more in the confusion adding for making a decision ha ha ha... anyways.. ending thread talk... watching to see what the heck he is doing next... flat 6??
Fuji, not to be a downer but....perhaps work on getting your own place instead of dumping more money into a car which will never turn a profit????
Funny, its the hmong tradition, Mt. Fuji's got no where to run since he is the youngest son in the family, plus he has no reason to move out anytime soon. The man doesn't even have time for girls. He's got nothing but time and make more money, thats a good reason to grab hold of destiny and aspire for greatness while you still have it in your system. Well I wish I could let you guys in on the details of whats to come this season. But I'll tell you we'll be even more competitive and if you thought this setup was fast, wait till you see what he has in store. So now is a great opportunty to help him represent.
Too much $$ for me and I need a better tranny. wrexinator's setup was just right for me - literally perfect deal. It sounds like someone will be having fun with this setup, too, though!!
its his passion..and let him do it...i think he should really think is getting a beater incase his car goes out...and plus incase mines too...lol
hmm..i think he is going to go with the same 2.2l closed deck with the 06 wrx setup...but i think he should just get an sti swap! thats all he will need...
Honestly I dont think a 257 is a good engine for fuji, they are pretty durable, however fuji is HELL on engines.
well..thats the thing...he's really into that block...and he wont give up on it....its a really nice block...but if he's going to keep it...i think he should really think about upgrading the internals..
fuji..for a small guy...double d's still aren't big enough...lol....... i need to tune my car... dude...this friday if you like to join...me and fuji is going to rebuild my exhaust...i have a plan on the next one that'll perform how i want it...so you should come on by!
save your pennies! When it starts to warm up is when I will start taking this setup apart for the rebuild. There is still time. April will be about when I'll be rebuilding. 4 months to save up!
would you be willing to part out the swap? I am not interested in things such as downpipe, catback, OEM BPV, 16G or the EJ22E (including internals). But the rest of it sounds appealing.
So the turbo setup you don't want. You still want to retain the big MAF, turbo inlet, and TMIC along with the ECU/harness and heads??
Thats kind of the idea. I already have a EJ22T block which I already have plans for the internals. I dont want to go with a 16g, and I already have a really good DP, BPV, and catback. It would make sense to double up on stuff I already have. this all might be a pipe dream for me.... as I shouldnt be spending money without a job... :-(
The EJ22T pistons Subaru does not have anymore in stock. What I could do is build the EJ22E block to the same spec that I want to build my block with; WRX crank, STi Rods, CP pistons. Just that the block will NOT be the closed deck block. This would MEAN the cost will be MORE than $4500.
If no one buys the swap, the turbo setup will be parted out along with a couple other parts like headers, DP, TMIC, turbo inlet, big maf...etc. It doesn't matter to me if I sell the swap or not, it will get built either way.
PART OUT TIME! Parts will be off when I finish with my projects; rebuilding '98 2.5L DOHC for Outback, flex pipe and resonator for Turbo Civic, EJ22T rebuild project for '02 WRX, etc.
