FS: Yakima Roof Rack System **Reduced Again** I am selling my Yakima rack system. I would like to get $300 for this system. Here are the parts with what I payed for them appox. Lock Cores $43 Q Towers $135 Cross Bars $54 Q33 Clips $29 Q10 Clips $29 Q Stretch Kit $110 Ankle Biter Bike Rack ~$120.00 Load Warrior $300 Load Warrior 18" extention $105 Load Warrior Stretch Net $35 Hully Rollers $70 Straps $25 Total retail payed approx. $1100
That's a great price! If you would be willing to seperate (which I doubt) I would be interested in the Load Warrior, assuming I can get adapters to attach them to Thule crossbars. Good luck with sell.
If you want the whole Load Warrioir part of it (probably the only way I would sell that part of it) i.e. Load Warrior, Load Warrior extention, and net I would say...hmmm... $200.
Give me awhile to chew on it. I will probably do it. In the mean time I am going to figure out what I would need to adapt it for use with Thule equipment. Thanks
The way it is designed I am not sure that you will need anything but I am not sure. Maybe longer bolts. The two knobs are how you tighten the rack to you bars on the car. So the large bar running vertical in the picture is the bar on the car.
That is such and incredible deal! I can't believe you didn't get any bites on the first price. Have you tried CraigsList? Are you wanting to sell local? A lot of guys on Saab92x would be interested. Feel free to throw it up on www.saab92x.com classifieds. Just make sure you mention "Topher" in the listing, they get apprehensive about first time posters setting a sale item unless they have a reference.
If you could sell the Load Warrior stuff separately, I would possibly take the rack off your hands (looking to carry my bike and snowboard)... If you are wiling to do that, what would you charge for the rack/accessories? Thanks.
Sorry 'bout that. That was me. So you want just the oposite. You want the Clips, Towers, Bars, and Bike part. That sold seperately I am saying $150. I have two different full sets of clips. I have four Q33 and four Q10. You might have to buy new Q-clips if those are not for your car. They run $25-30 for a set (probably better prices on-line). I just looked on Yakimas site and I am not sure but I think you have to buy two sets. I do not think there is four in a set. Check on someones website like REI or something for that to see if they fit your car.
Hmm, the STi needs different clips.... Am I assuming correctly that you would be willing to separate? Let me think about it for a day or two.... If you sell it, I understand, so don't hold it since I am not sure. The clips will add another ~$50. Thanks
I am willing to seperate at this point. No rush, it sounds like Chux might want to borrow part of it while he goes camping, next week I think, but it is still up in the air.
I'm very seriously considering buying the basket....it was AWESOME to have for camping. I have a quartet gig next weekend, that involves a big paycheck..... I used the ankle biter bike rack too, it works perfectly (now that we replaced the lock, and a few new stainless steel carriage bolts and wing nuts), I just don't need another bike rack. btw, I have a wagon with plenty of room to fit all this stuff. I'd be more than happy to do some delivering with it if anyone's interested, and I'm frequently all over the northern part of the state this month....
Well just let me know if you end up wanting to buy the basket. I am selling everything seperate at this point anyway. Glad it worked well for your camping.
I just checked and your car needs the Q46 Clips which you should be able to find for $50. I also checked and it says you do need the stretch kit, (which is INCLUDED in the stuff you would get from me. You can not mount the towers and bars to your car without them or they would be like 2 ft appart or something.) So the only thing you would need at the clips. Everthing else that is needed by your car I have. Here is a link for seeing the clips and things a car would need. http://www.rei.com/online/store/RackFitter?type=yakima¤tStep=4&storeId=8000 After selecting Make, Year, and model just keep clicking next till you reach the page "Step 5 of 5 and you will get a list of the stuff needed for you vehicle. I have everything but the clips and fairing (fairing is optional). That also shows you what retail would be w/o the bike rack. Hope that helps. (Hey you still have my blanket from transporting tires.... LOL)
Bump.... as far as I know the whole thing is still for sale. Have had some interest but no takers as of yet. And yes back from the dead.
