so i was able to pick up a set of 17x9 rota torques that came with 245 45 17. From my understanding those tires are a bit to tall for my 03 wrx so was looking at seeing if anyone had a set of 245 40 17 to trade. Tires still do have a decent amount of tread left but looks like 2 had camber wear on the inside. If there are no takers i might just run them seeing as how i have a sti cluster and it actually reads me going 5 to 6 miles faster than i am the tires could help correct that i'm hoping
245/45/17 tends to be easier to get in a wide variety of summer tires. You're best bet is Forester guys as 26" is the stock diameter for them. Actually, Foresters speedos are wrong inherently, requiring north of 27" to correct with the 5sp tranny. You might want to list the tires being sold and their tread depth including the worn part. I can't help you personally as I have 245/45/17 summer tread.
I ran 245.45 on my 03 wrx for years, with STi speedo it was dead on. The speedo on my 05 STi rears about 6mph fast with stock tires.
