I am doing a cis chemistry project in school about the differences between e85 and regular fuels.. such as change in heat (enthalpy), emissions, and so on and so forth. I know a few people on here have built fuel cells for their cars and I just wanted to ask if there is anywhere that I can find more information about them, or if anyone wants to help with that! Some of the questions I had were: Any significant differences? Horsepower differences? ... really anything cool that I could put into my presentation about what is good or bad about either types of fuel! Thanks for all the help! Dan
What does a fuel system using a fuel cell have to do with the differences between E85 and E10 (regular gasoline in MN).
Sorry, I'm not looking for the differences between the two. I just was looking for some facts I could build off of for the presentation about how they work and such. Even though I did say differences.. not too sure on what I was thinking. I really don't know too much in the way of anything about fuel cells.. like a little but anything will help!
i know you said gas, but really there are basically two kinds of fuel cells, those used for alternative fuels (like hydrogen) and the ones used for racing, which basically is a bag inside of a metal box. Used to well protect fuel from leaking in case of an accident. fuel cell wiki more fuel cell stuff quick little blurp on racing fuel cells
Not too sure on what I'm planning on doing it all on.. the main thing is about E85 compared to just your regular 87 octane. Then branch off to separate bio fuels such as hydrogen or anything else that would be interesting and relevant to the subject.
