ok heres my idea, i want to add a gps navigation to my legacy. i don't want to buy one that you have to mont on cause well.... i don't want my legy to get broken into cause some idiot can't afford and wants mine. so i was told maybe i should get it from subaru instead. any idea about the cost or any other better ideas? money can be a problem... maybe... but not really.
is it a double din opening?? if so buy the pioneer avic D3 ($1000) or go big and get the pineer avic Z2 ($2250) or any double din radio will work perfectly fine. and looks really good and clean. but in my opinion i honestly dont think there is a better navi system for the price but the pioneer D3. BTW i sell these at my shop so if you are interested let me know and we can talk. PM me if intersted
The new 6 disc oem unit with Nav is 5000 dollars. Have fun with that. There are much better options on the aftermarket. Also, if I'm not mistaken, the new OEM unit is made by Pioneer. I'm sure Pioneer has a unit that does everything the new OEM one does at half the cost.
I tested the pioneer avic d3 for a few minutes before, it looked very clean, kinda OEM like, and a nice piece of work
I believe many OEM runs on DVD, personally, I'd go aftermarket for a satelite base GPS, way more accurate as far as road constructions, detours, and road changes.
traffikjamz can get you a pretty good deal on some headunits w/ nav. I know somebody here who picked up the clarion max675vd w/ the nav HD for a very reasonable price.
You can always get more options/features for less money in the aftermarket. The D3 or the Z3 would be WAY better options than going to Subaru for it.
i was gonna say this exact thing. people come in all the time and flip out when i tell them the price.
yeah i was looking at the d3 but i wasn't quite sure if i went to like best buy or circuit city if they would have the proper dash board for my car. by the way its an "06".
