Funny street racers!!

I was on my way home from my grandparent cabin up north last night and heading south on 10 when a gen2 eclipse and a celica gt-s pulled up next to me and started pacing my car and and doing pulls in front of me and then slowed down to try to get me to race them... funny things were...

1. my girlfreind was driving
2. she just laughed and pointed out how the graphics on the eclipse looked like the streamers like the ones will farrel used in old school for his interpretive dance.

Yep, our cars seem to bring out the racers in others. I have had people try to get me to go a lot of times. Once on the highway with my wife and both of my little kids in the car. Ford Focus kept trying to get me to go..... morons.

 

then you pulled about 50 car lengths on it, right?

 

i tried to get my gf to run them but she was too scared to get a ticket.

I just had a guy in a 5 door mazda 3 try to race me... then he just took off and was doin like 95 in a 45...zoom!!! right past a cop....then he got pulled over and i drove by and honked at his *******!!!! lol

I had that happen once or twice myself. My favorite was with my old 96 L with the 2.2. It didn't look at all like a fast car but, oddly enough, a Mazda MX-5 "totally destroyed" me off a light and promptly got pulled over by Maple Grove's finest. Perhaps it's something with Mazda owners? I know the RX-8 is a piece of trash when compared to the old 7 but come on...

 

Not just Mazdas. I had that happen one night coming back from FS. A really crappy Ford Probe tried to get to me to go. I just kept crusing. Just after he finally went past me the last time at at least 15 over (probably over 20 over) my V1 started going off. The cop passed us about 30 seconds later. The Probe did not even try to slow down. Cop pulled a U-turn and passed me and pulled him over. I do not street race and that is why. It is illegal and I really really want to keep my car. I do hope to get my car to the track someday. Gotta try out some drag racing, autocross, and rallycross.

the funny things I never get messed with when I'm drving by myself. But when the wife and kids are with me man everyone wants to race. But when the wife is driving my car by herself she says that civic's are always trying to mess with her on the streets.lol I know what them guys are trying to do and it aint gonna work.

 

God, that happens to me all the time! When my fiance's in the car with me, no one does anything, but when I'm alone, every guy with an import messes with me! And I love how they put on that "mean" face...:laugh:

 

Maybe they look for cars that have more people in them because more weight = less performance.

 

It is really funny when you see everyones reactions to a chick driving an sti.

 

hahaha. all of this remind me of my old 240sx. last summer, a riced up civic hatch pull next to me and started to rev like crazy. i was like. man what the hell is wrong with that fool. and this one time, with my same 240sx, a marron 2.5rs coupe, a white impreza wagon, a blue mustang, and another impreza was trying to race me at the light. they were reving like crazy and the coupe was like, "c'mon lets go" i was like, yeah whatever. so they took off. oh forgot to mention, i was boosted. ka-t. would've pull away from all of them.

now, im rolling in a 4door L. i can finally cruise in peace.

Gotta watch out for those hopped up turbo diesels. Seriously. Anybody that works on diesels can tell you how much power they can turn out, pretty cheaply.

A Landscaping company out here in mound has a built F350 (the owner does I should say). A mastertech at Morries Ford named Dan built it for him.

From what Dan mentioned about it, its running a turbo about the diameter of a basketball, 6" turboback with an 8" tip, a pretty expensive powerprogrammer, and a massive intercooler. I dont remember the rest of the specs.

Its somewhere around 800 hp and 1200 ft/lbs.

Out on CR110 by my place, I've seen him break the duallies loose for a good stretch, leaving behind a cloud of black smoke so thick you can barely see the truck.

 

I have a friend with an GMC HD. He has it chipped, 5" Turboback, Propane injection, the works. His is somewhere around Mid 700's without the Propane. Some of those diesels will best a lot of modded cars out there for less money.

 

I hate turbo diesels lol... they make sick power.... i hear nuke was gonna trade his subie straight up for a 2500 HD.... LOL jk

 

when my wife drives our red wagon she gets all sorts of attention from idiots in ricemobile pilots. but i dont get much. weird.

I got challenged the first time last night on my way over to the GF's. It was new looking Acura, didn't see what exactly, that zoomed up on my left into my blind spot. I look over and see him fiddle with something in the cab and then zooooooom he's GONE. 20 seconds later I see lights pop on up ahead and sure enough he's pulled over. Ready for it?

Pulled over by a plain-clothes cop in a MINIVAN!!
