Putting the girlfriends "coconut" (as she named it) up as a gauging interest for sale. :emo: It is a 2002 Wrx, White, 5 speed with the under-seat subwoofer in it. 100% STOCK We bought her home on Friday December 12th, 2008 as the second owner. The first being a man down in Florida who bought the car with 12 miles on the clock and paid for it in full day of purchase. He lived in a gated community and babied the car, never putting a single mod on it. He was a pga golf fan who owned the car up to the day he traded it in to the Florida Nissan dealer at 114,333 miles. It got new bfgoodrich tires all around just a few days after being brought home, they were $600. The oil, rear diff, and transmission were flushed and changed just a few weeks ago as well. The car runs great and the transmission shifts without a grind or a hitch. She currently has 116,xxx miles on her and is VERY strong. The "bad" things - which arent even bad in my book, quite common for a driven 7 year old subaru- #1. The driver's side fender has a few dents. #2. The passenger side of the rear bumper has a scrape on the bottom of it (my thoughts are someone just lightly scraped a curb with it) #3. The clock stopped working after i pulled the clock bezel out one day to show her how gauges fit there. #4. Both rear doors had the tint peel and then rip on the VERY cold days we experienced last month. I talked to a friend who does a lot of tinting, and he said he will help me out and redo them when we have time. #5. On very cold days, it will see the ever so common subaru gas leak that i have no garage space to tackle right now. REASON FOR THE GAUGING INTEREST/FOR SALE THREAD My girlfriend thought she could get the hang of driving a 5 speed, and she gets going just fine and does pretty good here and there as long as im with her to coach her, but when there's a car behind her or she gets nervous about something it escalates pretty quick into not being fun at all for her. We both love the car, both absolutely love the white bugeye, but if she is making payments on it and it is her car, then she needs to be able to enjoy it more then from the passenger seat, and i feel bad being the one who drives it to work everyday. I would rather have her say she gave it a shot and get something i know she will be able to safely drive in and can handle better when by herself then get into an accident worrying about so much. I gave thought to just buying it from her as my daily driver, but with purchasing a house once i find the right one being a big financial step that could happen in as soon as the next week or so, and possibly needing to use some of the equity to build a garage, id rather play it safe and let it go to someone else. know it isnt a being "stuck" situation, she has my F350 to drive in the mean time. Couple pics from the day of purchase: (i can certainly take more if needed) $8500 for a 100% STOCK WHITE BUGEYE.
OP states 116,XXX miles and pulls strong...but then again, it's subaru so it will last forever if you treat it right!:yumyum:
No. THE ONLY TRADES SHE WOULD TAKE, IS AN AUTOMATIC WRX IN SIMILAR CONDITION TO HERS... BUT, SHE REALLY WOULD LIKE TO BUY RUSS'
No, sorry drew. I have been giving it more and more thought to just buyin it from her and just keep the f350 for towing... wish i already closed on a house so this would be an easier decision.
my love for wagon's has grown but she wont buy one My first ever ride in a subaru was my friends 02 wrx wrb wagon w/ tein coilovers and a vf22... been in love w/ them ever since.
I'm going to keep this car in mind, I was looking at STIs but after much thought I think I'd rather just pay $$$ upfront and not have to go into debt. The car looks very clean. What % is the tint? Has the clutch been replaced? Any warranty work? I'm expecting quite a bit back from taxes, so if you guys still have the car in a month I will be getting in contact with you! I know this isn't what you wanted to hear, but there is definitely interest. thanks.
Bummer for her since Russ' just got sold today. It is available for drooling (at but not on) in Superior and parts of Duluth. No, it was not me that bought it (not a wagon or a manual) but a close friend of mine who will hopefully join our little community. I'd buy her car if it was a silver manual wagon. I'm also not quite ready to buy but that's beside the point. Good luck on the sale btw. Bump.
I would say I have a good option for a trade, but mine is an auto RS... And I think my girlfriend would be in the same boat as yours if we got a manual...Too bad
i havent had the tint metered. was just going to have the windows redone. clutch had to have been replaced at some point. it is very strong. i dont know all the maintenance history on the car 100% but the guy who owned it was obviously finacially stable and took very good care of it. Ah its ok, there's plenty of other auto's out there. i can always make this one to an auto since i do have the harness, tcu, shifter, rear end, etc from my 02 that already got an auto to manual swap. if i can do it one way, i can do it the other she wants a wrx. she's got the boost bug now.
yes i do. just so you know, i have a guy at work interested as well. he talked to me for about an hour on it tonight and said he's gonna talk it over and get a hold of me so let me know if you wanna meet up or move forward on it
yes it is still available at the moment. going to call ka-t 240 in a few mins and see if he wants us to come meet him in hinkley or something. guy from my work is checking into things, first with $ gets it... down payment or in full.
$8500! Someone buy her up. Few inquiries but no $ yet and we found one she really likes and can drive and she wants to celebrate her promotion with a new car!
yeah it is a good deal. she was sad we missed out on russ' and she doesnt want this next one to sell before hers is gone. although i am sure she can afford two now... hmmmm lol i am going to miss the little coconut when she does sell.... SOMEONE BUY IT!!!
Maybe you should show some updated pics in the day light? Show off the true beauty! Ugh, with new price tho, now im really leaning for it myself.
Pics are available upon request and I have sent them out to those who've asked for them. I'll take your interest with a grain of salt as you've come off as kind of a hand raiser to me. Just my .02
Bugeye's dont have them unless installed aftermarket IRC... Only bugeye ive seen with a moon roof is Ryan's wife's 2.5 RS and that is aftermarket
^^^ Nick answered it for me. A sunroof is only available from the factory on the limited's for impreza's.
sorry for it being dirty in the pics. few people interested and some seem to be trying to make a move on her... If you're interested, jump now.
This thing is seriously still available? White is the best bug eye color around! Wish I had money for this!
bump. Someone buy her before we end up trading her in. It's actually been kind of hard to find a clean auto at a fair price but if we fnd something we can't pass up it might get traded in.
