EDIT: So for the time being I'm keeping the B-Enspirer card. Readymix has dibs on the Barracuda, and I'm hanging on to one of the 8800GTS SC'd So left is one EVGA 8800GTS Superclocked. I am asking $75 for the card. Just like the title says I'm trying to see if anyone would be interested in a few mid to high end computer components. First up would be a pair of EVGA GeForce 8800 GTS Superclocked (320MB) graphics cards. I would be willing to sell them as a pair or individually if I were to go ahead with this. I could also supply an SLI Bridge if needed. Next would be a Razer Barracuda AC-1 gaming sound card. The third on the list would be BlueGears b-Enspire sound card. So, would anyone be interested?
Upgrading? *caugh gtx260 core 216 caugh* those 8800gts 320mb are good cards. I rocked one and then two for awhile.
switching over to ATI 4850 for 7.1 audio HDMI output. Adding a blu-ray drive and beginning to rip my BD collection (2.7 TB of HDD space )
Very Nice! I've been wanting to do that for the past few months....except no monies and no HD tv lol. Gud luck with the sale!
Don't waste your time. GAH. I've just spent the last 5 hours fighting with the damn thing and it doesn't freaking work! HDCP Errors all over the place with WinDVD even though the whole system is HDCP compliant, I can only get 2 channel audio, and even though my system exceeds the system requirements Blu-Ray playback bounces in and out of being uber-choppy for no real reason, with no more than 60% system resources being used. What a load of crap. God forbid you actually be able to watch your HD content. Anyway, I have to decide the route I'll be taking, so as of the moment this is still a GI thread, but that could change.
I've heard of all the same problems with HDCP crap. Plus since Cyberlink can't figure out how to make more than one program I can't at the moment. I'm running their DirecTV2PC app and it's a known problem that the DTV2PC program will not work if you have PowerDVD installed.... How in the hell that happened I'm not sure, but I do know it has something to do with conflicts in content protection systems.
Hmm...give them software companies a few months to fix the HD issues. Bluray drives are still babies in the computer world, I'm sure they'll get it working soon.
wha... The first consumer Blu-Ray products came out FIVE years ago. Real deployment and finalized specs were TWO years ago. It's been out plenty long, just that HDCP, BD+ and AACS are terrible and cripple the stuff. Software BD has been out for nearly 2 years too.
Yes, the Razer does look very nice. (Aegis, get Jason to price me out a decent comp, minus the box. :biggrin
Also, Techy, I think we'll take that Razer thing, building a 7.1 system in the basement that this will work nicely for.
Even a year ago you'd pay 3x as much for an internal bluray drive. They are actually affordable now, more will be bought and more attention will be paid by developers to utilize the technology. Gud luck troubleshooting drivers and windows/program settings to get it working! How much are you looking for them 8800s?
Let me make sure that I can find the breakout. I'd totally forgotten about it until right now since I always use optical.
I've only ever used optical for ADAT (professional 8 channel) or for consumer 6 channel (5.1) The card is 7.1 so I don't see why it couldn't send it that way, but it also has an analog breakout that I just found.
Yeah, just in case. I would imagine that the opticals would send 7.1 though. Not worried, this is a good card for a home theater PC.
You can get Radeon 4830s for <$100: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161260 probably about equivalent to a 8800GTS
So? These are NVIDIA, not ATI. Not the same. Also - its not nice to sh1t in someone's FS thread.
Ok, so here's the deal. Readymix has the Barracuda, I'm keeping one of the 8800's for the time being as well as the b-enspirer card. That leaves one EVGA GeForce 8800GTS Superclocked (320MB) up for sale. $75 Who wants it?
