Well I tried to organize one of these last year and no one showed . So I am gonna see if anyone is interested in trying this again. The Minnetonka drive-in, is a drive in restaurant located in Mound, MN. it is located at letter "C" on the map here: http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q....942688,-93.651924&spn=0.137543,0.214577&om=1. They have really good food, and great root beer. thursday night during the summer is the muscle car / hot rod night. On these nights the place is packed w/ really nice modded/restored cars. although it is alot of fun to check it out. i dont think these nights would be a good time for a meet, unless only a few people come. since it is so busy, also since this is rather out of the way for most people perhaps something weekend related would work better. is anyone interested? Wow, the old A&W. I lived in Mound as a kid and would go there all the time...I'd be down for maybe a weekend visit.
^ no date set yet. it appears there is a decent amount of interest. what day of the week would work better for everyone? thursdays get super busy there, alot of people even end up parking across the street also i think it would be best to have this a little later in the spring/summer, let it warm up a bit and give some people a chance to get their cars running again, lol.
I think a weekend would work much better for those few of us who don't live in the area. I have to go to school during the weekdays, so, that drive wouldn't be so good for me on a weekday. I vote for a Friday or Saturday.
