    **Axleback has sold**

I just picked up a TurboXS TBE off Ebay and it has the TurboXS muffler (not the RFL, the standard one) with it. I'll be keeping my Prodrive, so I don't need the TurboXS unit...this will bolt up to the stock catpipe, so it would be a replacement for a stock axleback if you're looking to get more sound out of your car. It's a 2.5in pipe. These are the pictures from the auction.

Next up is the TurboXS catpipe, this will mate up to a TurboXS downpipe, it's 3 inches all the way through. The substrate looks like it's in great shape. New, 239.00, I'm asking 125. I can deliver to Firestone on Friday night or I will have the parts at the dealership if you'd like to pick them up there. Thanks!

Man, I'd be all over that catback but it wouldn't get me much more flow than the stock 2.5 muffler. I have the TXS 3" stealthback.

Ummm....nope. The stock muffler is a pos. You should start looking for a 3" one, hehehe.

Yeah, but I don't want a loud one. Which is all part of the problem. And the fact that mufflers cost so much. :(

Which is not helped by so many mufflers not listing their pipe diameter. Like Prodrive for instance...

Bikerwriter, the Prodrives are also a 2.5 inch pipe because they will bolt up to the stock catback location/piping. This is coming off a TXS Stealthback, it's the same upgrade muffler they offer on the website so it'll flow better than the stocker. I'd keep it, but I would rather use my Prodrive axleback.

Why do you want to keep the Prodrive? Which one is louder? The TXS? :hsugh:

A new Prodrive does cost only $339, which is $64 more than you are asking for the used TXS, so you can see my dilemma, especially if there is a sound difference. (I don't want RFL.)

I would say the prodrive and txs muffler are VERY close to the same sounds level. I have had the txs muffler on my car for 5 years and it is great. Looks close to stock, it is quiet, and once you get on it, it has a very deep subaru rumble.
