my mod dollars are dwindling for this year...but I wouldn't mind a fuel pump upgrade...count me in (Is the install kit necessary...question for those who've done this before).
The kit is necessary/ideal for the WRX/STi Install...It is not depending on other manufacturers...Just in case if someone on this thread is planning on using it for another brand manufacturer that is y I offer the kit separately...
I was under the impression that no kit was needed for STI installs. Direct plug and go (with a little bending of a bracket). Nice price BTW!
Yeah, the kit comes with a rubber mount that helps seat the pump in the stock bracket better. Not entirely necessary since you can cut off the feed line an inch or so or bend the bracket a little if you want. Also comes with wire extensions that are not necessary for wrx at least. If the pump doesnt include the filter then the kit is probably a good idea.
Not sure if it is really needed, but from all the members and my installer they say to just get it since the price isn't much more...in otherwords ideal...
I don't need this as I already have it but that is a great price on the kit. Bump for 20 cheaper than I could find it last year. I was told that you should get the kit one when I got mine.
I bought mine from richwrx, I am not sure if his had the kit on it since he did use if for a few miles but it replaced my stocker perfectly on an 02 wrx.
Is there any reason I should NOT do this to my basic stg 2 car? Not really planning any power mods but if it is fine to just put it in now I would more than likely be in on this. Need to think for a day or two.
Bielke, you should get the install kit, simply for the filter sock. Also, some people need the wiring, it may not plug directly into your current wiring, but at the very least you'll have the connectors you need to fab up the wiring if that's even necessary.
Put me in for one w/ a kit also. guess I just decided for sure that Im going to do the upgrade. Still looking for a TMIC everyone. Perrin or better.

Actually first 10 gets one...I just locked in the 10 units with kit with my vendor and ordering it as we speak...so 2 more and we are done :biggrin:
