ok, so lastnight i went to a skatepark in mound,
really nice little spot, it's full of these nice oldschool pool type slopes and banks...

i was really stoked, and decided to warm up a little before i streached.

after about 5 min, i was grinning ear to ear, and having a great time. i approached a frontside bank and was going to pop up on the coping for a nice little grind..

i was a little low on speed so i stepped back off the board and landed on my feet kinda funny. got that warm fuzzy sick jolt down low on my back..

16 hours later now the chiropractor is sending me in for an mri to make sure i didnt rupture discs... :(

    so, moral of the story,
old dudes should streach BEFORE warming up..... no matter what.

MRI's rock. My dad programs the systems translation section for GE medical. I remember using one when I was kind of young. The secretaries (who all seemed to be located like shielding around them...) used to stack paperclips 10-15 deep straight off the wall. Too dam cool.

    P.S. hope all is well

    all went well.
i went to this place in plymouth, kind of behind that funeral home by the library off of vicksburg and hwy 55.

they have this new machine that is super nice.
a scan that typically takes 45 min, took 23 min. and it was was less claustrophobic than the last one i was in.

the lady that was helping me was way cute too.

anyway, i won't know untill tomarow what the deal is. i'll be pretty bumed out if it is a disc that blew..

well, the drugs are good atleast.
    /cheers

Nope, the real moral is... old dudes shouldn't skateboard!

My buddy built a ramp in his barn this spring, I haven't ridden it hard, yet, because I am now breakable! ...and I haven't done more than ride a board across the garage in 15yrs!

Being in and out or surgeries the last 6 months..racked up a bill at mayo of almost $200,000...no lie. I end up paying about 5000 after insurance kicks in the rest.
