2 questions: 1. I need to know what my old transmission is worth. It is an 02 5mt WRX tranny with 95k on it. The thing is 3rd gear is shot. I know someone that is interested in it to use as a shell to put some PPG's into so he does not have to much down time. I don't know what to ask for it though. I want a fair price for both parties. So if you guys could let me know what you think that would be great. 2. what is a 5mt tranny with 53k on it worth. (the person who might buy mine to put PPG's in it will sell his once the PPG tranny is installed to regain some of the cost of the job.) Thanks guys.
I'm just starting my shopping for a messed up transmission for my own gear swap and I think I've been seeing 02 transmissions for 300-350. Even though only 3rd is messed, you might want to assume the rest are not far behind...provided it has 95K on it. But if he's dropping new gears and such in he probably try to score it off you for less, maybe 250. What year is the other one? 02-03 or 04+? 02-03 maybe 600-650 04+ maybe 700-750 just estimates
the other one is 02 to 03. If things don't work out with the other guy, I will let you know dave, we can work something out.
