There is a new feature in the latest VBulletin upgrade and it is basically a facebook to yoursite bridge. I know that you can log into both and go from the site to facebook and vise versa without haveing to do so login stuff and I *think* you can transfer some VB posts to your wall or something like that. Personally, I know nothing about facebook and don't really care to learn. But, if there is interest in connecting the 2, I might be a bit more inclined to work on getting the bridge to go live. It will be a couple of hours worth of work AFTER I get the live site upgraded. So let me know if this is something that may or may not interest you and I will base my time on that. Russ
depending on how flexable the controls are as far as sending posts to my wall id be interested as long as i dont get a notification everytime someone makes a post haha
I would vote no because " I don't want to get sucked into Facebook", but I'll abstain from voting for now.
At this point, it will be a basic bridge between the 2 site. As VB gets more of it finished, then you will be able to start more of the posts/picture transfer stuff. But as of now, it is a simple account log in bridge. My point is, I don't want to spend hours working on something that will only get used by 2-3-4-5 people, when I can spend hours working on something that will get used by most people. But if the demand is there, I will add the feature. Russ
I'd rather have Tapatalk enabled, but yea, Facebook Connect would be cool. I use it on evolutionm.net, it's actually kinda janky but it works in the end.
I want to know one thing, will Facebook updates and posts be crossposted here? I know it lets you crosspost from here to FB, but if it allows it the other way, I'm going to start banning people for posting up stupid Facebook nonsense regarding what you just ate, the movie you just saw, or how long your last turd was. I mean that too. If this place starts to nosedive into another Facebook, I'll ban every person that is actively using this plugin.
I don't understand why people who wouldn't use it would even care? It is like saying there shouldn't be a gun thread because you don't shoot guns.
