Since no one has stepped up to make me an offer on my LGT wagon project, I'm looking at the possibility of having to part it out. Obviously the most desirable part of the project is the engine, so I'd like to know if anyone would be interested in just that. Here's the scoop:

USMD EJ22t block and internals, approximately 130k miles. Heads-off and pan-off inspection show it to be in excellent condition. This is the bullet-proof closed-deck block that many in the interwebs claim to have gotten 500+ HP out of, on stock internals.

JDM EJ20G heads and intake manifold. These are 4-cam heads with both intake and exhaust valves being approx 20% larger than any USDM heads of the era. These are hydraulic lifter heads, so none of the shim-over-bucket adjustment BS will plague you. I believe these came off an STi Version-2. The manifold has both a larger plenum and smoother runners than others of the era. The manifold has been media blasted and clear-coated.

The heads are currently loaded with '04-'06 STi yellow-top injectors, using the stock "G" fuel rails, as well as coil-on-plug ignition from the same.

The turbo is a TD05h-16g with braided steel oil feed line and top-entry inlet. Zero lateral shaft play and zero sludge. I haven't had it apart, but what I can see of the blades shows them to be in excellent condition.

OEM head bolts were used during assembly, as well as new FelPro MLS head gaskets. Cam cover gaskets, intake gaskets, front seal, oil pump gasket and oil pan gasket are all new as well.

Timing belt is brand new, either Gates or Mitsuboshi, I forget, and the tensioner is a new OEM.

Water pump is brand new; OEM from '04-'06 STi.

Not sure on price, hence the "gauging interest" status of this post. If you pull it yourself though I'm kinda thinking along the lines of $1500. Since I no longer possess a hoist and stand, if you want me to pull it for you I'd be looking to get $1800.

Pics show FMIC and plumbing, which I will be happy to negotiate a price on as well.

What about engine management, are we on our own for that? Thanks.

Hadn't really thought that far ahead. I have a Z4 code ECU and harness I'd sell for another $500. Honestly though, You'd be better off to just bring a trailer and buy the whole car from me, or go MegaSquirt (which I should've done in the first place)... Not trying to be rude, it's just a helluva lot of work getting the harness back out, since it's merged with the stock harness still in place.

No problem, just trying to get a clear picture...
